Only the second no-hitter in World Series history. The first since Don Larsen's perfect game.

Yes, we do.

I watch baseball, in particular the hapless Tigers, all season long.  I would guestimate that I watched at least a few innings of approximately 60-70% of their games this season.  I attend a few Tigers and Whitecaps games each season, too.

As for tonight's World Series game 4, I was flipping back and forth a lot between it and WMU MACtion (Crumble Up, Chips!), then stayed with it through the later innings as the Astros mowed down one Phillies batter after another.

Mrs. Attack is in Philly on a work trip. For the last 3 days she's said she's seen so many Phillies' jerseys. I told her to be careful. She's working in an outpatient pharmacy. I hope they have security close by, as pharmacy patients are the absolute worst. Add on getting no-hit in the WS... I hope she has her mace.

I presume it was exciting. Didn't watch live but saw the highlights this morning.

As a Mets fan, the prospect of the Nats, Braves, and Phillies winning the last 3 real titles is depressing. However, it doesn't quite feel right to root for the Astros either.

So I guess my only option is to continue not to watch.

I love Verlander just as much as the next guy, but every time I see Altuve reach base I'm unable to separate out the vid of him clutching his chest rounding 3rd so the TV wouldn't see the cheating mechanism he had under his jersey.

Yeah, rootin' for the Phils in this one.

JV is now, and forever will be, tainted because he chose to be part of a collective of cheaters.  He knew it was going on and agreed with it enough to not say anything to stop it.  Ergo, he's also a cheater.  Fuck him.

This wasn't like stealing pitch calls from center field or using a bit of grease on the ball to enhance your slider.  This was sophisticated cheating using cameras, sounds, and planted devices in a coordinated manner from the front office down through every player and equipment staff that helped set it all up for each game (including those who said nothing about it).  This was flat-out organization level cheating against the 'integrity' of the game.

And yeah, that 'integrity' has always been suspect.  But for reasons that remained player based - steroids, grease, pine tar, even point shaving...  But never before has it included organizational discipline.

EDIT:  /rant

Yeah, JV is a helluva pitcher and the Phillies are in trouble...
