I know this isn't the place for a life lesson but leaving this up could be eye opening.

Drinking alcohol is a kin to playing russian rullette. Everyone goes in thinking they can moderate themselves when the reality is you become a ticking time bomb when you acclaimate yourself to the substance.

For Andy that time bomb blew up. The best decision anyone could ever make in regards to alcohol is not drink socially.

I say this often and I know it may make me a black sheep but I want less instances like the one in the OP.

He is an asshole.  He has had plenty of chances to sober up and get help...more than most people for sure.

Andy is hurting others with his actions.  He must have tremendous internal pain, and probably hates himself for some reasons that are inside of him.  So...he acts out.

Regardless of all of that... what manifests itself on the outside is Asshole.

The guy needs to get help and truly accept the help...before he kills someone.

It is what it is.

...he's an asshole for drinking.

I don't do this when I drink...I usually get on MGoBlog and talk someone's ear off until I get bored and want to go to bed.

If I'm out...I usually sit and have a great time with friends while looking at the hot females in the estabilishment.

He has a choice whether or not to drink - and if he doesn't, then he has the choice whether or not to get help so that he can develop the ability to choose not to drink.

I have no sympathy for this type of person. Especially one who preaches being a man and a professional for a living.

You know what, it sucks that this is a post, but this is the first I've heard about the 911 call part of it, and I'm glad I saw it here rather than somewhere else.

I was quite worried when we were doing coaching bits and it was Moeller who was supposedly the "let's get the gang back together guy" once I read up on what he had been up to the past 5-6 years.  Since I thought Drevno was off the table as he had just moved to a premier blue blood (USC) for 1 year I thought that Moeller would be the guy.  Thankfully Drevno was the guy as this sounds like a troubled man that should not be around 18-22 year old people.

Not in any way would i want to defend a man who abused a woman, but I find it curious how certain topics in our culture create such a mob mentality based on little information or one perspective. Likely, Moeller will turn out to be a royal douche, but I would like to know more about the situation before issuing final judgment.

To add from the article:
"As we previously reported, cops responded to the scene -- but didn't see any evidence of an injury. Hours later, the woman told officials she no longer wanted to press charges against Moeller."

Again, not jumping to either conclusion, but this is curious.
