The Ohio State fans like them, and I don't blame them.  They do harken back to 1968 -- but more correctly, to 1969 (remind them of that) and the years of the Ten Year War.

I don't get dopey thing with the gang-sign gloves, but everybody --even Michigan-- is doing that.

Some of the Saturday-edition elements could easily be made permanent with them.  If they pull off a big win, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them became permanent.

Today, one of her teachers made her sit in the hall for the entire period because she had a Michigan shirt on. 55 minutes. I obviously don't have enough points to start a thread. I'm sure most of us aren't all that surprised. My brother said, "In the words of Hoke, 'It's almost personal." Go Blue!!!

but it was in 3rd grade, and it was a fake detention slip.  living in columbus, everyone wore scarlet and grey, and I wore all michigan clothes.  My parents knew the person in charge of discipline at the school and she thought it would be a funny joke to tell them ii'd be getting detention every week till I either wore scalret and grey or something ohio state.  My dad has a red t-shirt with grey letters that says "GO BLUE", someone made for him because she was dying of cancer and figured that would be the only way she'd ever see him wear scarlet and grey.   That weekend (1993) I got my own scarlet and grey GO BLUE shirt and was paraded around the school on monday because they liked it so much.

I don't think the shenanigans that go on about this should be taken too seriously.  In middle school there was always a party that friday before the game, and all the people that wore osu got cupcakes and the michigan fans got stale marshmellows.  it made me feel better on monday when i'd hand out sympathy cards to all the teachers that gave me so much crap.

This shit annoys the hell out of me. Last year was great. Seeing the two CLASSIC uniforms on the field. Actually, oh I don't know, It looking like Michigan was playing (and beating) ohio and not rutgers.

Also FWIW: state had stupid shiny helmets this year against Michigan made by Nike.

Who won that game?

See you saturday, urban myth.

40-34, coming back for more.

Not unique at all. We need to just come out in our traditional road uni. Leave the gimmicks to the classless incl their barbaric fans.

seems like a good compromise. Ohio kept the integrity and structure of the uni's, and nike got to exhibit and sell some of their latest bells and whistles. I expect this to be a standard of sorts for teams going forward.

can't wait to see us wreck em.

Our gimmick should be to come out in our late '90's away unis that we terrorized them in during the Cooper years.

The 2000 Michigan-OSU game was on ESPN Classic today.  Those uni's looke great and what happened in them gave Ohio fits.

Looks appropriate for Ohio . On Nike site, it looks like a onesie. Which is good since they will be like babies after the loss on Saturday

I'm indifferent on these uniforms.  They are better than most and are not a complete abomination but OSU should be above this and keep a traditional uniform, but whatever.

My question bringing this back to Michigan (and maybe I am just too OCD), is why can't adidas make a shoe that is plain black with the simple three stripes to be a classic or why can't they make a navy shoe with some hints of maize on it.  Really anything besides the white plastic laden cleats we trot out there in now.  There are bigger fish to fry but make us a shoe that is unique to us or at least color coordinated (black is even fine) to us.  It seems like a no brainer but maybe I have been around my wife too long and placing too much importance on shoes.
