Origin of Lewan Donkey meme
Can anybody explain to me where the Taylor Lewan hates donkeys meme came from? I read mgoblog every day, but I can't remember, and can't find, where it came from. If it is something that will stick around for a while, maybe it should be added to the list of things like "Unverified Voracity" and "Tacopants."
Thanks

You are seriously creeping me out. If Denard gets injured, i'm blaming it on you.

There used to be a user that posted weird cryptic poem-like things that made no sense at all, I want to say about a year ago. I wonder if this is the same person.

From the UMass UFR
"Hello. My name is Taylor Lewan. I am here to inform you that, while you believe you are a linebacker, you are actually a donkey. Let's go for a ride."

Well, then: Lewan?
I have to agree with the hype. Wow. This is his second snap from scrimmage:
"Hello. My name is Taylor Lewan. I am here to inform you that, while you believe you are a linebacker, you are actually a donkey. Let's go for a ride."
height="390">
And then there's Shaw's 50-yarder:
(Video)
"I hate you, donkey. Sincerely, Taylor Lewan."
I'm having trouble embedding the videos from the UFR, but Lewan owns people

Brian created it in the UFR, it just refers to Taylor Lewan riding the defensive players like you ride a donkey.
I believe Brian picked a Donkey over other beasts of burden because most people associate a donkey with stubborness, and in popular literature there are numerous comedic instances of donkeys refusing to be ridden, or to carry the load.
Thus the fact that Lewan can drive donkeys at will not only emphasizes his strength but his ability to overcome the stubborness of a rather massive beast of burden emphasizes his tenacity.
If you want to go back and look, some of the donkey quotes are under the pictures as captions.

That, and it's just fun to say "donkey."

Tacopants is the 12 foot tall invisible WR that played for Michigan when Chad Henne was the QB. Whenever Henne would throw too high or seriously overthrow a pass he was throwing to Tacopants.

I laughed out loud about the donkey line when Brian first used it. He gets a couple good one liners each week that I can never forget.

Thanks for the help. I remember reading it in the UFR, but I guess I thought it predated that. Good to know.

If Lewan can make opposition defenders seem as cute and comical as the Bolivian Burro bellow the he will be in for quite the carreer.
