When did Texas get a defense?

gives you an example of what happens to many QBs when their team can't reliably run the ball. Darnold looks all-world when USC can run the ball but Texas has the athleticism to stop USC's run game without completely selling out vs. it. It has basically made Darnold look like Speight.
Of course, Texas has much better athletes than Air Force or Cincinnati..

For those interested in following Shane Morris, he didn't have as good a day today, going 22-45 for 279 yards, 2 TD and 2 INT in a 41-17 loss at Syracuse.
September 16th, 2017 at 9:59 PM ^
wasn't his fault. Receiver basically juggled the ball into the arms of a defensive back. But at the end of the day, CMU is a MAC team so they are gonna have days like that vs P5 teams.
Also, Babers' offensive rebuild at Syracuse is starting to take shape. They certainly looked explosive today.

USC looking bad. That WMU-USC game not saying what I thought it said about WMU.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:55 PM ^
September 16th, 2017 at 9:59 PM ^
And then USC makes a throw and catch like that. Assuming this stands, wow.
September 16th, 2017 at 9:59 PM ^
That's not a catch.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:04 PM ^
Sure looked like the knee came down before his forearm hit out of bounds. Hell, I think even once his elbow touches he is automatically down.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:05 PM ^
September 16th, 2017 at 10:06 PM ^
So like 10?
September 16th, 2017 at 10:09 PM ^
Rushing yards 133
Passing 137
September 16th, 2017 at 10:12 PM ^
Yeah I was attempting humor based on LSU's rather anemic performance. It is perhaps time that I stopped drinking and went to bed.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:13 PM ^
September 16th, 2017 at 10:06 PM ^
That poor Texas QB needs himself some blockers right now.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:08 PM ^
LOL USC

September 16th, 2017 at 10:09 PM ^
USC calls a timeout to force Texas to punt and get one last longshot at a score. Then immiedately throws a pick 6. Ha
September 16th, 2017 at 10:09 PM ^
Seems like there's been a crazy number of pick-sixes this year in CFB.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:10 PM ^
Hey a ball that should have been caught turns into a pick 6. Where have i seen that before?
September 16th, 2017 at 10:10 PM ^
USC's WR are dogshit tonight.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:10 PM ^
TEXAS! IS BACK, FOLKS!!
September 16th, 2017 at 10:10 PM ^
Why not just take a knee and go into halftime with a lead?
September 16th, 2017 at 10:11 PM ^
Double Post
September 16th, 2017 at 10:11 PM ^
September 16th, 2017 at 10:13 PM ^
I mean the throw was right on the dude's hands.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:11 PM ^
I enjoy Joel Klatt as an analyst, and yes Texas is playing better defense than they did against Maryland. But that play didn't have much to do with great defense. That was a gift
September 16th, 2017 at 10:13 PM ^
Seeing Orgeron, get his head handed to him, is pleasing. Nice debut in the SEC Coach O.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:13 PM ^
Cincinnati looks like shit.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:15 PM ^
September 16th, 2017 at 10:20 PM ^
September 16th, 2017 at 10:15 PM ^
Am I the only one that finds this KSU-Vandy intruiging? Not the game itself, these teams look just awful. But I feel like this is an out of conference game out of no where that is close late at least. Cal-Ole Miss tonight is another one like that.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:58 PM ^
September 16th, 2017 at 10:15 PM ^
Yup, theres that awesome Texas D for ya.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:15 PM ^
HAHAHAHAHAHA
September 16th, 2017 at 10:16 PM ^
Miss St just beat the living shit out of LSU, 37-7. And so starts Coach O's fall from grace down in the bayou...
September 16th, 2017 at 10:16 PM ^
Three touchdowns in two minutes. This USC game is stupid.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:16 PM ^
Ok these two teams just suck. USC looks like they did last year at this time. So does Texas, actually.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:17 PM ^
Texas' secondary still doesn't really understand angles.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:21 PM ^
Clemson starting to impose their will.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:22 PM ^
always impresses me. They always got players at the glamor positions you'd kill to see in maize and blue. Yet somehow they've managed to underachieve for several years now.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:22 PM ^
I am sure they are panicking just like our fans are
September 16th, 2017 at 10:23 PM ^
See people, they let a MWC team hang around too. Michigan=Bama.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:24 PM ^

September 16th, 2017 at 10:47 PM ^
September 16th, 2017 at 10:29 PM ^
Lamar Jackson is ridiculous. Too bad about that penalty though.
September 16th, 2017 at 10:29 PM ^
Coming back for a call that didn't affect the play, but still that was a very impressive run by Jackson.
