before any NFL team can contact Harbaugh. I don't think the 49ers want Harbaugh in Oakland. I think a deal has already been made between Michigan and the 49ers. It will be interesting to see what happens. If the 49ers fire Jim or Jim resigns Sunday Night or Monday, then I will worry. If everything remains quiet and Jim shows up in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, then it happened!

Ann Arbour may well be the name of the wife of the former Islanders coach, but the name of the city where the University of Michigan resides is Ann Arbor.

Forgive my bad humour, but I'm part of the 3rd gen (of what is now 5 gens) A2 natives and Wolverines. When I saw it I guess I saw the colour red momentarily!

Although it was spelled that way originally, and at least a few signs in the city still say Ann Arbour.

From Wikipedia:

The Township of Ann Arbour was organized in 1827 by the Legislative Council of the Michigan Territory and the Village of Ann Arbour, which later became the City of Ann Arbor, was organized in 1833. As villages remain part of the township, the village of Ann Arbour did not become completely detached from the township until it reorganized as the city of Ann Arbor.

I don't expect him here until Tuesday Afternoon. He will have to clean out his 49ers office and say good bye to his players and coaches, then fly to Michigan on Tuesday Afternoon. Sign his contract then be a the game and take center court at halftime to tell all the fans he came back to take his dream job as coach of Michigan! Then he will be a the press conference on Wednesday Morning!

I don't want anything close to "Return to Glory" to be affiliated with Michigan. That's a phrase the Domers can keep. I'd just call it "Order Restored: The Jim Harbaugh Years"

It just seems like if they were out there, UM officials - which I assume includes Hackett -, they would have had him sign the K.  Did they try and leave disappointed?  Or does the 49er contract preclude him from signing until after the season?
