New Official Poster for 2014/15 Football
UM (and other B1G) teams have released the offical posters for the upcoming seasons. I'm a big fan of Michigan's. Between this and the cool weather in SE Michigan, I can't wait for football season. Go Blue!

BTN Article about the posters: http://btn.com/2014/07/15/photos-see-2014-big-ten-football-team-posters/
1) Most likely: Hoke is sucking up to Shane to keep him happy for next year
2) Next most likely: Hoke is going to great lengths to keep Devin thinking there's a QB competition
3) Least likely: Hoke actually believes in the QB competition and is willing to risk his job on Shane. If Hoke chooses Shane over Devin and it doesn't work out, he gone.
"listen, if you commit to michigan, we'll pull some strings and get you on a poster no later than your sophomore year. what school can beat that?"
It means nothing. If you want to read anything into anything, Gardner is front and center.
No Green or Smith? Morris on there? Huh.
Looks pretty good though.
It means Ty Issac (yes I know how it's actually spelled) got his waiver and is playing this year!
I assumed it was Peppers, but if you squint hard enough, you can make out the "Justice Hayes" under #5.
(Maybe that's the desired effect. Not placing a true freshman on the poster, but expecting most who see it to think it's Peppers.)
Muttley, this board has covered freshman numbers ad nauseam and it was ruled Peppers will wear #2. I saw picz.
It means we're adopting the A-11. No RBs, both Shane and Devin start
My best guess...
They're having trouble selling tickets for Miami (OH) this year (evidence: fireworks). Signaling to people that is the most likely game to see the QB of the future, since Miami is probably the worst team on our schedule (0-12 last year), could be a move to sell a few tickets.
Obviously we should hope that the team itself won't take that game for granted. Lately we've had way too many awful experiences with supposedly bad - or actually bad - teams.

I love that they had to indicate which games are considered B1G games. I guess all this expansion has really confused people and they can't assume everyone knows who's in the conference anymore.
and teams have been denoting conference opponents since....well, at least as far back as I can remember and that's about fifty years.
I don't go back that far but, maybe it started when MSU joined the conference and the Big Ten was born, 1953.
It's pretty bland. Doesn't have much graphic punch.
Compared to some of the other B1G school posters, Michigan's is not bad.
My votes for most ridiculous:
Indiana: Oh god no.
Iowa: Only Iowa would feature a lineman dripping with sweat.
Maryland: Is this a Maryland poster or an Under Armour ad? 7 strategically placed Under Armour logos on this poster.
Purdue: LOL
LOL at the Purdue one.
Passion? For Purdue football? Come on.
Yeah, seeing these posters definitely puts ours in perspective, I would think. I actually don't mind ours at all, but then I look at Indiana's and for some reason expect to see "A Film By Jerry Bruckheimer" somewhere in the text lines above the schedule, and as for Purdue, I was thinking more "Catch Boilermaker Fever....Then Tell Precisely Where You Caught It"
The Purdue dude is grimacing because he just tore his ACL.
/ jk
/ not really
I was thinking they put the fireworks a little to close and he is reacting to getting severe burns but they kept that shot anyway because that is the state of Purdue football.
"Disappointment never looked so good."
So Don you are saying that it doesn't have enough Wow factor. Let me make a note of that.
Get them to sign on the line that is dotted.
Upvoted for the Glengarry Glen Ross reference.
Leave it to us to try and read meaning into who is on the poster. Goddamn we need to win games soon.
Does anyone like how we have two bye weeks? They're obviously good for the players, but suck for fans. The only good thing about bye weeks is that we can just chill those days and watch football without worrying what Michigan will do.
of the B1G expansion and changing of the B1G schedule. Teams had already scheduled their OOC opponents so the B1G schedulers had to work around that, hence the second bye week for everyone.
Michigan's open dates work out very well I believe. First they have an uninterupted schedule of seven games to get things rolling. Then a break between PSU and MSU. The second open date is in the middle of November to give them a chance to catch their breath for the last two games. Contrast that with OSU who has both of their open dates before Michigan has their first. We'll be rolling into Columbus relatively fresh while the Game will be their seventh straight contest since their last open date.
Everyone looking for the negative at every turn...sends shivers down my back. Let's race to the bottom, last one there is a Scarlet Knight.
There was a thread on this poster not too long ago.
My opinion still hasn't changed. Vertical posters are much better and this one looks better.
see laterally much better than vertically. We see the world in wide vision while scanning horizontally...it's why we have Wide Screen TVs and not Tall Screen TVs. That said, the horizontal can become too stretched, and I agree that the Michigan poster is quite wide. I think the Indiana poster is a very good H:W ratio for viewing. Wider than it is tall, the viewer can still see the entire poster without having to move his eyes.
especially if you like Wheel of Fortune.
Yeah, I started a thread a while back... But this is a good topic to re-visit and nice now that a full-res version has been released.
As a friendly reminder to all, myself included, remember there's a search option that let's you pretty easily check if a forum thread has been created already on a given topic.
And we don't know who's getting the legends jerseys so all of this is subject to change.

You can tell Jake Ryan has spent a lot of time under Hoke's tutelage.
