NCAA Football 14 Top-25 rankings released (M #19); no Legacy unis in game
Went through this video and put together all of the Top-25 for the game. Michigan is way too low at #19. TCU ranked higher than Michigan? They lost to sparty. And Texas? Ugh, we go through this every year. They'll finish the year unranked.
6 SEC teams in the top 12 and 1 big ten team in the top 18
Not to diminish the obvious SEC dominance in the rankings, but you're cherrypicking the numbers a little. If you say "1 B1G team in the top 18", should you say "6 SEC teams in the top 24"?
is that ND had "Under the Lights" uniforms and Michigan doesn't. ND has a bunch of alternate uniforms but all Michigan has as an alternate is a uni that only reminds you of shame. This is some BS.
I'd be down. I'm already in an ESPN league but I'm open to as many leagues as I can get in, as long as they are structured well and are consistently moving through the weeks.
I'm sure all the alternate unis will eventually be available...for a nominal fee.
Clemson always seems to be ranked way up there in the preseason and then has a spectacularly mediocre season.
Tajih as a senior could do some serious damage this year. They'll likely lose to USCe and FSU but could be #2 in the ACC.
Good. Shock the world.
^^^This.
Damn. I guess I'm gonna have to not buy the game for the 8th year in a row
Texas has a ton of returning starters. I wouldn't be surprised to see them much better than last year, although given a recent history of underachievement I wouldn't count on them quite getting into the title picture.
*Dame. Autocorrect makes fools out of us all
I can't argue with ranking Michigan at #19. Ohio at 2 seems high but yes they went undefeated last year so I guess so. A lot of games in 2012 could have been wins for us and I think our luck will be better this year, just upset I can't run around the field with Denard anymore
For all the head-scratching that goes with team and player ratings, things always really get funny when you look at the individual skill ratings of individual players. They are utterly baffling in many places.
I prefer the low socks and think high socks looks silly.
Michigan isn't replacing their starting qb. Devin started the last half of the season with a much better completion percentage than Denard. We still have Gallon, Lewan, Schofield on offense. We get Countess back on defense and all of our young role players are a year older. We should be around 14th if we play like we did after Gardner took over in those last 5 games. Every team besides the top 5 is going to have weaknesses. We only have them in a few areas.
This thread is about a video game's ranking of the top 25 teams?
Yes.
How's the cover look?
It amazes me that some people get angry about team rankings in a video game. I play NCAA quite often, but don't get mad about the rankings; it's not real.
