MSU Releases Individual Tickets for Tomorrow On Sale NOW $75
October 14th, 2011 at 7:50 PM ^
Do it for those of us who sadly cannot be there.
October 14th, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
Kinda surprised it isn't sold out this late...
October 14th, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
I don't really know anything about the logistics of ticket sales. Does this mean that MSU was unable to sell out a home game against an undefeated UM team or is it standard procedure to hold some tickets in reserve for sale this late?
October 14th, 2011 at 7:58 PM ^
Pretty sure they hold these back for alumni groups and whatnot, then release them if they go unused by said group. Not uncommon.

I've bought tickets on gameday in East Lansing more than a couple times. They are always easy to come by. I went to the '97 game. MSU was 5-1 and Michigan was 6-0, of course. We bought four tickets five minutes before kickoff right outside the gate from a guy who had a stack of probably two dozen tickets. I don't remember if we paid less than face value or not, but we didn't pay more.

At least they didn't have to set them on the counter at the local Subway as a parting gift with a purchase of a $5 footlong this time.

Good times.
I like me a cold cut combo with a side of Sparty tix.
October 14th, 2011 at 9:53 PM ^
Well, the cold cut combo sounds good

You could always use the Sparty tickets in lieu of a moist towelette after you finish that delicious sub.

If anyone snags an extra, Dylan from umhoops.com tweeted earlier that he is looking for a ticket. No idea if he found one yet, but I bet he'd be appreciative.

Section 30. I went 2 years ago so I'm looking forward to a little payback. Lets hope this one ends better!
To the OP: THANK YOU for posting this! It's by far the cheapest and most reliable way to buy tickets right now.

Saw this, went to see if I could snag any, couldn't get 2 together, came back to MGoBlog and now my ads at the top and the side are for MSU football tickets!!!!!
October 14th, 2011 at 11:38 PM ^
Just clear your cookies and you should be good.
October 14th, 2011 at 9:10 PM ^
If anyone got any extras that they won't use, I'm very interested in buying two, just so that I can (probably not) antagonize Sparties all morning.
October 14th, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
i have two for sale for 325..thats what i paid n thats what i want out of em. im also going so whoever is interested can email me zbrown2012 at hotmail dot com.

You obviously haven't heard of sunk cost ... just because you paid double face value doesn't mean that's what you'll sell them for. I've been looking for tickets, and the price is dropping fast. Cheapest tickets a week ago were $200, and tonight you can get non-student tickets for $125 (or $75 if you are lucky enough to get them on the site a couple hours ago).
October 14th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
sweet..i appreciate your input but if u dont want to buy em i could really care less about your snobby response.
just for this guy : best offers will be considered
October 14th, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
Nooope, Chuck Testa. Thanks anyways though, sir!
October 14th, 2011 at 9:18 PM ^
Didn't work
October 14th, 2011 at 9:29 PM ^
Section 110 ... looks like 20ish yard line .. upper bowl .. anyone else get any?
October 14th, 2011 at 9:37 PM ^
I plan on getting some later tonight. Oh wait, maybe you meant something else by "get any".
October 14th, 2011 at 9:43 PM ^
went thru StubHub and got raped ... but at least I'm there!
Go Blue!
October 14th, 2011 at 9:43 PM ^
They're sold out again. What are the chances they release some more?
October 14th, 2011 at 9:47 PM ^
I had a ticket lined up, my browser froze, and when it started back up the tickets were all sold out. Infinite sadness.
October 14th, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
Well, I guess that solves the problem for me. I'm going up to Central to do pictures of Eastern. This would have been kind of cool but I would have had to leave at about 2 or so although East Lansing isn't that far from Mt. Pleasant.
October 14th, 2011 at 10:49 PM ^
all gone :(
October 14th, 2011 at 10:58 PM ^
MSU made a formal statement that this game would of been sold out against Michigan, but they were not able to sell tickets at their usual national level. The sex appeal of the mid-west just isn't enough for sparty.
October 15th, 2011 at 6:23 AM ^
When you are the true power that MSU is you only sell out home games against the other true powers of college football like Florida Atlantic, and Youngstown State.
Why would anybody want to go to a game against Michigan? /s (pretty thick if you couldnt tell)
October 14th, 2011 at 11:11 PM ^
Was able to log on and got 2 together in the lower bowl. Thank you would not have been able to go without your post. (I got them at 8:10)
October 14th, 2011 at 11:13 PM ^
Sold out because so many UM fans bought tickets? We can only hope.
October 14th, 2011 at 11:49 PM ^
ridiculous things I've ever seen. A top-25 match-up at a supposedly "elite" level program? They will never be elite, and this proves it. Even with a few strong seasons, this is actually absurd. To have tickets available the night before for such a matchup...they just aren't ready for the big leagues, win or lose.
October 15th, 2011 at 1:45 AM ^
I couldn't find any takers for my extra ticket and ended up selling it to a reluctant scalper for about $20.
No one sat in the seat next to me so I can only assume it didn't get sold.
When we had season tickets to Sparty it was near impossible to even GIVE the stupid things away, and we had good seats. It was nice to have a guaranteed ticket for UM every two years but we gave them up last year.

I hope there is a nice amount of maize n blue there today! GO BLUE!!
October 15th, 2011 at 10:53 AM ^
I was just able to get 2 together at 1045 this morning.
