East German Judge

While we all take glee in staee's 3-9 season/bad spelling/arrogant coaches, these alleged actions by this monster are truly disgusting and vile!  It is said that so many young women were victimized for so long and he was given a free pass all this time and only after so many years is something being done now.  Like the OP said, may the victims some day find peace and closure for what they have endured and that this menace gets his just punishment.

...And MSU is hardly alone. It is lost in me how institutions purporting to be all about the growth and safety of its students allow these crimes to be swept under the carpet for years (or decades). How can people like the MSU gymnastics coach look at themselves in the mirror?  I'm not naive and realize if this can happen in State College or East Lansing or Waco it can happen anywhere. Including Ann Arbor. Here is hoping we have the quality of people and  all the necessary procedures in place to make sure the students of our great university can never be so victimized.

It's really not a difficult concept to understand. Many people think people should be punished in the same way that they inflicted hurt on others. Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. I'm not saying it's right, but it's extremely simple to understand.

I remember learning about the concept of "eye for an eye" when we studied the Code of Hammurabi in 6th Grade social studies. Even at age 12, I found it easy to understand.

Now, I certainly don't think it should be the basis of the American criminal justice system. But at the same time, if this form of rough justice gets meted out behind bars to someone who's guilty of the same, I'm not going to cry me a river. I prefer to save my sympathy for the original victims.

Except it isn't an eye for an eye: the person who would be delivering your prison justice isn't the victim. Mr Prison Justice is someone receiving gratification for an act of rape, regardless of who that victim is--a weaker rapist or just a weaker individual in general. Prison Justice is a rapist who has a free range to rape and can't be punished because this person is already in jail. IN ROOTING FOR A RAPIST TO GET RAPED IN PRISON YOU'RE BASICALLY CELEBRATING THE SUCCESS OF A PRISON RAPIST IN CLAIMING A NEW VICTIM. Irony, man...

I've never been one to pile on to a predator. My heart just aches for the victims. Its just a sad situation all around. Beyond punishment for the perp, I really really hope that the institutional safeguards from universities to law enforcement to social welfare services step their games up and step in earlier. Its easy to look for justice though punishment, but I believe that true justice comes from doing our best to prevent this stuff from happening or, at the very least, intervene as early as possible.

If you went to Michigan or identify yourself in anyway to the school, these days you have to find a way to activate yourself in a more meaninful way than indulging in schaudenfreud over some pretty grizzly details. Michigan State may be our little brother, but also brother. Rivalry should end when the clock hits 00:00:00.

Right, keep wagging your finger till every MSU fan writes you a personal letter of appology.

How many have you written for bad things Michigan alums have done?

And what does outrage mean? Writing mean spirited posts on mgoblog?

Hi gregg henson,

nobody is in denial. the MSU fanbase is outraged and embarrassed. Most are calling for house-cleaning, including some pretty highly ranked football recruits from last year.

You're just a really stupid fucking asshole.

You'd rather have dozens of girls to get raped or assaulted than not, as long as it gives you something to shit-talk MSU about.

ya dipshit.

Regardlesss of only one mention, MSU will stay in the news for this quagmire and forever be tagged to Nassar in online references. The football assault could take the focus to another level - although the slow action by the DA seems like the legal or political forces have started to derail the process. Doubled up, the stories must be an incredible strain in MSU PR capabilities.

the link also says this: "The charges don’t involve his work at MSU, but police are investigating complaints they’ve received from 60 women." so basically this post is about a 60 minutes program we already knew about, which doesn't have anything to do with MSU, but OP thinks "MSU Public Relations" is an appropriate title. OP is a tool.

How does he go untouched or not investigated after case 1? How does he get away with 59 other cases? I don't get it!? As a father of two young girls, I have no issue putting a guy out of his misery if he did this to my kid or anyone else. This is beyond messed up and a crime for those that investigated this and decided after 60 allegations; maybe it's time. No reason to have these bastards even behind jail walls...sorry, take them out, chum the waters and drop them overboard. Not to get political but no father, mother, sister, brother, relative should deal with such bastards to do this to our youth and children. I've had a few cocktails but this makes me sick and sorry for the human race these people are around. Neg me if you will.

Guys like this should just be castrated and then sent to prison.  They must be mentally ill to prey on young women.  Something has to be seriously wrong.  Either way, they need to be locked up, beat up and the key thrown away.  Disgusting.

Also, this isn't an MSU issue.  This is a societal issue and involves one sick monster.  Let's not try and bring down a university because of this a-hole.
