And despite the fact we can hear the pass interference call, one says "there was a flag inside the five, but we haven't had any explanation for that." It feels like the other guy knew what it was, but had just corrected him that the completion was good, and didn't want to correct him again.

..that was awesome, then they don't know what the flag was for and claim it was never referenced but you can hear the ref say pass interference just moments before. Prior to the Gallon reception they comment how poor a thrower Denard is then the next play he hits Gallon for 64 yards. But my favorite statement at 5:28 is "and one of the most absolutely disheartening losses in the history of Notre Dame's 123 years of college football." Priceless!

They were pretty bad (their bias aside) and I definitely had a giggle (at their expense). I'm not a fan of ND announcers calling Shoelace a "poor paser" but I guess it comes with the territory...

As SeanMSC posted the announcing wasn't that great. However I thought they were pretty unbiased.

The broadcast is 2.5+ hours long.  Listen in to 1:30-9:00 minute mark for the last MICH drive. These are the gems that I picked up:

The announcers were amazed at the last Irish touchdown with 30 seconds left and were talking about how MICH was probably going to do some crazy lateral return, but then it was kicked out the endzone.

They talked about how Denard was not that great of a passer (sorry but I have to agree) and how he threw a bunch of toss up balls.  Then Denard throws an amazing pass to Gallon and this is an exact quote, "...and MICH throws a completion to Gallon and MICH is going to score...", the announcer was so convinced we were going to score due to our insane productivity in the 4th quarter.  I LOL'D!

Denard throws a pass to Roundtree in the endzone and the announcers called it as incomplete.  To be fair they did watch the replay and say that it was clearly a completion.  I LOL'D anyways.

There is a gap between the last MICH touchdown and the kickoff so the announcers just start chatting.  This is what they had to say, "...winners find a way to win and losers...well...you know how the saying goes..." (this is an exact quote) I LOL'D again!

With time to kill the announcers state that, "...if your losing a game just toss it up to your 5'8" reciever..." (this is a paraphrase but they did state his height) I LOL'D again!

The kickoff goes well and MICH recovers it for a touchdown, the announcers clearly discredit that the touchdown has any merit and just state that the game is over.  I LOL'D again!

I didn't listen to the entire broadcast.  I fastforwarded to about 2:20+ and I heard one of the announcers say that they like orange gatorade (no I'm not kidding) and I just stopped listening.

I bet you thought I was going to LOL! at that last statement about gatorade and I didn't, so now I'm LOLing!

To his credit, after hearing his report on the original freep stretchgate article, I emailed him expressing my displeasure with his re-hashing of Rosenberg propaganda, rather than reporting with more factual information.

He replied very promptly, and while I still didnt like what he had said on the news, he did say that he felt that Rosenberg was "a hack" and that his story was largely fabricated, but even so he had to report on the story and could only quote Rosenberg's allegations.

Crappy ND homer pandering to what the local audience wanted to hear, but at least he gets a bit of credit for calling Rosenberg a hack.

These guys are  offensive.   Backhanded complement  after another  "Hes doesn't even know where he's throwing the ball".   He's a "poor thrower" but is a "dangerous player". The arrogance just oozes from the radio.

Then when Roundtree comes down with the ball in the endzone he immediately assumes it's incomplete even though everyone in the stadium is cheering because he's cought the winning TD.

Michigan has "100 years" of football but ND has 123 years.

Now I really do hate ND.  Serious.  And I'm Catholic.

Thanks for sharing the link.  I loved the stunned silence after the Gallon catch on the last drive.   After that, they couldn't get anything right - they thought the pass to Roundtree was incomplete and they didn't know what the penalty flag was for.   Good stuff.

...that they stated there was no signal, when in reality the official's hands went up once he verified that Roundtree came up with the ball.  Hell, I saw that from section 34, row 10 (approximately 130 yards away and at field level, not elevated).  The commentatry on that final drive was a proverbial train wreck....nothing was in order.  Commentator failure, FTW!!

Pure joy to my maize-n-blue, shamrock-hating heart.  Also, this business about Denard being a poor passer is baloney.  Of course, he has work to do.  But those jump balls were by design -- and the results vindicate the product.  Anyone who thinks Denard is not able to throw well needs to see the play where the ND defender is pulling his leg and he throws and in-stride strike to Hemingway to change the game.  The guy who threw that ball is not a "poor passer".

Hilarious.  These guys are the Statler and Waldorf of college radio.   "This is hard to believe..I don't know how he does it."

"Incomplete, but wait it's a touchdown...i have not seen a touchdown signal."  Has the broadcast team suffered as much as the Irish recruiting.

omg that is so funny.  A MUST listen fellas, about the 2:30 minute mark.  When Denard hits Gallon, all lifegoes out of their voice instantly.  You could tell they just want to kill themselves and are wondering how the hell they can find another job and team to work for.  In the meekest, quietest, most my-life-is-fucked-voice:

"...finds a wide open receiver, this is incredible, michigan is going to score."

Post game alalysis was hilarious......Kept calling Hemmingway J.R. Hemmingway as opposed to Junior.  Also claimed that DB's couldn't make adjustments on balls in the air because they aren't used to balls being underthrown that much.  Totally biased.  What idiots........

To listen to the whole post game.  Though for true Schadenfreude, I'm going to have to wind back to the point where THEY score the touchdown. For the contrast.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I always thought the best NFL broadcast team was Criqui and Bob Trumpey (Trumpie?).  Solid, easy to listen to, objective.

Criqui still has the great voice, but... man... to go SILENT during the Gallon run.  Called it the wrong route.  One of the most exciting ends to a college football game, and he is too much of a homer to describe the play?  He sounded defeated.

"One of the greatest victories for Michigan in their long history" (or words to that effect).

Why? Because M beat OMFG NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND RETURN TO GLORY ND again? Hey, Lou Holth thaid tho.

Or maybe, just maybe, it's possible this ND team has been overrated again, like many of its predecessors?

Considering this is their 3rd straight heart breaking loss, I thought the announcers were pretty classy. Gave Michigan all the credit and didn't lose composure although you could tell they were obviously crushed.
