Exact same game as last year. One team dominates the game, but T/O's kill them

It's not FIRE BORGES either and yes Denard was bad but the Vincent Smith pass attempt had nothing to do with Denard and was a key play in the game.

denard stunk and cost UM the game. borges can't get blamed for bad throws, holding the ball way too long and fumbling.

Still sucks, but hey, the defense looks better.
Frankly, I feel alright about the team. Denard not so much.
September 22nd, 2012 at 10:58 PM ^
There's just some things that if Denard hasn't been able to correct by now, he'll never correct. He's a special talent, but he's a square peg in a round hole.
September 22nd, 2012 at 10:53 PM ^
Well, it's a loss. But I can't tell you how encouraging this game has been in allaying my defense fears. They showed up today. Floyd gave up this last play, but they did awesome otherwise.
Denard.... I just don't know man. Best player on the field for sure. But he's making freshman mistakes with the football, that much is just indisputable. I was just hoping this was the year that I could watch a game and not have the lingering Denard implosion fear. Apparently not.

Well, Denard has firmly cemented his legacy. He had a chance to win over the naysayers in his senior year, but instead he's creating a new ones.
September 22nd, 2012 at 10:57 PM ^
That's retarded. If we beat MSU, OSU, and go onto the Rose Bowl nobody will remember this game against ND

Right. I didn't say the team has cemented its legacy though. People WILL still remember that Denard made awful decisions and was an interception machine during his time as Michigan quarterback. He will also be remembered as a dynamic and exciting player. That is his legacy. He will always be a very divisive player among Michigan fans. I like him as a qb, but his legacy will be what it is now. You should read more closely and think a little harder next time.

The Boilermakers' defense is for real.... And maybe not against Nebraska.
You can take it to the bank that MSU and OSU will play their best games against U-M. If Denard can't get it together, this season is going to get a lot worse.

"Notre Dame is for real. With a stout defense, the No. 11 Irish force six Michigan turnovers in a 13-6 win -- their first over the Wolverines since 2008."
Kind of a head-shaker, no? Their D stopped us?

The DL, defense in general and OL exceeded my expectations but man, Denard, what was that?
September 22nd, 2012 at 10:59 PM ^
I've said it 'til I'm blue in the fucking face; Denard is an athlete, but he's not smart enough for the QB position. Hate me, neg me, fuck off. The QB position is played between the ears.

I still believe because of how weak the B10 is this year that a good conference record is possible but we're going to have to make some serious adjustments before we go to West Lafayette. It will be a long bus ride home back to Ann Arbor. Forget about this game. Learn from it and move on. The BYE week will help get reorganized.
