Michigan memorabilia in your office/cube
I did some searching and didn't see a topic like this, at least none that the search function returned. Anyway...
How much Michigan memorabilia do you have in your office/cubicle? Anything specifically awesome?
My collection is currently modest at best, just a car flag, a coffee mug, and a few print-outs from the web. Oh, and my '09 ND ticket.

had a job (THANKS GM) i had my michigan flag hanging behind my computer, but took it down because i was afriad that it go missing (90% of the people i worked with were state grads). i also had my michigan souvenir cup, and the wallpaper on my computer was a picture of bo and the team running under the banner. i had about 30 michigan pics saved to my computer so i could always change up my wallpaper.

My wallpaper is currently this. I also have several others that I can switch it up with.

I've got my big UofM alumni coffee mug and a full newspaper page autographed picture of Jake Long (2006 All American).

All American? He's a bust!!!

Arial poster of the stadium, circa 2002, wolverine figurine, and a couple of pins. Another friend down the hall has a home hockey jersey pinned to the wall. Lots of UM grads here (considering it's Northern Virginia).

TONS of Michigan grads in NOVA. That place is like Silicon Valley II.
That being said I have the 'Those Who Stay Will Be Champions' pennant from MDen up in my office. When someone asks me why I'm working late, I just point to it.

I live in Ballston...MGoAero says he goes to Bailey's but I don't know what he looks like so we didn't make contact last time. I love New Hampshire, so your avatar is awesome.
(For next time, I'm 6'1" white skinny with a Scottish-looking red beard and wear my white #7 jersey to every gamewatching party.)

I think I remember you from the ND game - if you're the guy that yelled "Minor Rage", my friend and I complimented you on that. We were sitting at the next table right in front of the tv. Wasn't there this past weekend, though, and likely won't be there this weekend either. I'll keep an eye out, but I live in Clarendon, so if I go out for Michigan events, it's generally to the Arlington location (hopefully they host as many basketball and hockey events this year as last...).

Oh yes, I think I remember you two. I asked to use the seat and you said it was taken; somebody's girl showed up about 20 minutes later (duh girlz late to watching football lol)*
My lady showed up near the end of the game and got a huge unexpected smooch when Tate threw that pass to Mathews.
*Internets sarcasm.

Yep that was us. My friend's lady friend (that occupied said seat...) doesn't know a lot about football, but is interested and trying to learn. She had to leave before the end of the game, and so she said that she'll leave "after the next time we touch down." We laughed, and laughed...
September 29th, 2009 at 9:43 PM ^
Touch down? We landed on the moon!!!!
Seriously, I'm all for women trying to understand more football, instead of watching the game with the guys with a disgusted look on her face because she doesn't know what's going on.

I have a brother in Herndon I try to visit once every few months (new niece). When I'm out there I'll try to make it to Bailey's and say hello.

Larry Harrison's cell phone. Yeah, its in a plastic bag.

I have a mini Riddell helmet amongst tons of other random crap that I/my company has amassed: Signed Cris Osgood puck (one of the Burger King ones with his picture on it), Mario West signed mini basketball, 1995 World Series game ball, Ilya Kovulchuk (sp) signed hockey stick, framed picture of Federer that I took at last year's US Open along with ticket stubs. Doesn't make any sense, I know.

I have Bill Lynch's gum tacked up to my cube's bulletin board.
September 29th, 2009 at 10:15 AM ^
It's great really; everyone watching the game (and the Hoosier faithful) now know:
1. The IU coach chews gum during games.
2. He can't run down the sideline and chew gum at the same time.
3. He throws it without even looking where it is going.
IU football = Gum Time
September 29th, 2009 at 10:49 AM ^
UofM should fine Bill Lynch because everyone knows that gum is the MOST HATED enemy of Field Turf!!

I also have an alumni coffee mug along with a pennant and my desktop background is a picture of John Navarre.

I work deep in enemy territory - the Cleveland Clinic. My cube is a little splash of Maize 'n Blue. It's akin to Bagram AFB - a safe haven in the middle of Uzbuckistan.
I have two Michigan collector game mugs (one from this season's ND game and one from the '03 O-State game), a picture of the stadium and my car flag (which I take home every night). My desktop is usually the picture of the week from Spawn of MZone.

I've got Mike Hart. It's bring your favorite M football alum to work day.
September 29th, 2009 at 10:04 AM ^
I have the chopped off head of Fielding Yost in a jar next to my computer. a game worn Navarre jock, and Tim Biakabutuka's severed foot.

I have the panoramic photo of the tipoff of the '89 Nat Champ game between UM & Seton Hall in the Seattle Kingdome framed on the wall over my credenza. Gift from former staff in previous job when I left Michigan for Ontario. It's noteworthy cause it was done before panoramic photo's existed, it's actually 4 diff snaps fused together.

they were throwing to the crowd at the National Championship parade in 1998.

Above my desk is a giant framed picture of the Big House. It is glorious and inspires me to teach everyday. Then alongside my wall, I have a giant bulletin board that myself and the 8th graders who I teach, have dubbed, the wall of Awesomeness. On this board is a giant Michigan flag, tons of sports pictures and quotes...including the most recent Sports illustrated article of Tate Forcier. Along my front wall of my classroom are two Michigan hats mounted facing the kids.
BTW...I teach in the south corner of Tennessee....in the heart of the SEC. GO BLUE.

• This desktop wallpaper

Actually, I only have a Duke mini basketball hoop. I should probably get a Michigan football or something.
September 29th, 2009 at 11:24 AM ^
i have a block M sticker covering most of my computer monitor. the sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Michigan.
September 29th, 2009 at 11:26 AM ^
helmet signed by Charles Woodson and a 1997 National Champions poster framed that is signed by Lloyd Carr. That is all.

- M Wall Clock (an oldie version, but I still like it)
- A collector's plate featuring the Rackham Bldg
- My desktop wallpaper: Tate on the Sistine Chapel
- I also wear the blue Adidas sideline shirt on Fridays ("jeans day")
September 29th, 2009 at 12:27 PM ^
Casual Friday is usually a Michigan t-shirt, though occasionally I don my Nike dri-fit polo.
Football season is always a football-related t-shirt (Student shirt, etc.).

I am a teacher in Chapel Hill and since my school is a little old they let me paint my walls in my classroom. I have maize and blue stripes along with a michigan flag, henne jersey, and every football schedule poster since 04 (along with a WMU and UNC flag and jersey). Doesn't really look like a math classroom but whatever, we know what is more important.

But it does feature both a wooden drawing mannequin and a plastic anatomy skeleton, and both are prominently wearing little winged helmets (formerly car deodorizers from MDen).
September 29th, 2009 at 1:49 PM ^
Bo bobblehead and a little Michigan football post-it holder.
September 29th, 2009 at 10:48 PM ^
I have a miniature "Let's Go Blue! M Club Supports You" banner hung over the entrance to my cubicle.
September 30th, 2009 at 12:17 AM ^
Was this a do-it-yourself or did you order it from somewhere? This sounds awesome.
September 29th, 2009 at 11:02 PM ^
I have a framed 11" by 14" game photo from Yost that my wife took with a wide angle lens and a Michigan Football coffee mug.
September 30th, 2009 at 1:55 AM ^
I have a maize coffee cup with tiny block M's on it that I use as a pen holder. I also have a Yost puck I use as a paper weight, a mouse pad with a block M on it, a huge coffee mug and a button that says "beat Iowa" lying around somewhere. Ive thought of putting the Mcfarlane Tom Brady in there somewhere(i bought three) but Im afraid it might go missing. I try not to draw attention with banners and too much flair since im in the heart of Hawkeye country and things may go missing.

I have an Autographed Flint Southwestern Basketball picture of Leach, various golf pictures from U of M Alumni Golf outings with Rick, his father, my father and brother. I have a photo of 1987 Endzone shot UM goal post following MSU game with my brother on one Upright and myself hanging from the cross bar, and numerous friends in the photo.
Less personal but more valuable, I have Autograph BO Helmet, Autograph Bo Ball, Autograph LLoyd Helmet, Autograph Lloyd Ball, Autograph Rich Rod Helmet and Ball. Also have an Autograph Photo of Jimmy Abbott throwing a No-Hitter a Yankee Stadium, an Autograph Jimmy Abbott Baseball. THE game ball in High school against Abbott. (
