Back in the DAY fans used to stomp their feets and in the steel rim part of the stadium this created one hell of a lot of thunder--you could hear it all the way downtown--i heard it whilst standing in front of the State Theatre! Not sure why this tradition stopped. It was very cool and didn't clot up the field or cause an environmental catastrophe.
Like i said, i don't know why it stopped.

Hail yes! Alvin Lee simply kicks the bejeevers out of that song! When i saw them live at Cobo they did 5 encoures and we still couldn't get enough. But, I'm Coming Home, that song sent everyone to the stage! What a great concert it was. Pure rock and roll at its finest.
Its good to hear all the rockers talk about their experiences with different bands. Everyone has their era and their favorites.
I know, Its only rock n roll, but I like it!

The Who...Live At Leeds
Best live album ever, best live show ever.
Yeah, subjective as Hell, just my opinion--just like everybody else up in here. lots of great shows back in the day. Saw Ten Years After at Cobo on a Tuesday night back when I was in high school and that was a great, great show--the best i have ever seen in person and i have seen more than a couple

Back in the 60's i purchased LP's, then in the 70's 8 tracks and cassettes, and then CD's after that and now MP3's. I have purchased some of the same songs four or five times. I feel very strongly about feeding the musicians because they do deserve it and I do appreciate them. Plus, being a musician myself I empathize (i am not what you call a successful musician). I love the fact that a person can now purchase two or three songs off a ....LP/CD whatever now, because there a very few LP/CD's where I like (enough to spend money on) more than two or three songs.
My problem is remains bit rate. I am one of those idiots who have high end equipment--for instance, my PBS M4U 1 over he ear headphones, and i will gladly take the Pepsi challenge for anyone who thinks I cannot tell the difference. Hey, maybe I am wrong and can't but I do think I can--and I have tested myself in this regard--it was actually quite easy to discern the difference. I listen to music--just don't use it for background chatter. Further, from what I understand digital music can deteriorate over time so --and maybe I am wrong here--- i would think the more bit rate I start out with the longer the integrity of the music will last. Maybe I am just a moran on this but it does smack somewhat of Spock type logic.
Finally, I have read numerous biographies of musicians/groups I can't remember a single one with flattering content about music middlemen. Those guys will sell their mothers for a dollar so it seems. And, I don't hear about too many record executives in the food stamp lines.
I just wish all artists would bypass the bloodsucking middlemen and throw all their stuff up online. I would much rather pay them directly. From what I understand the artist get about a nickle an album when they go through record companies. Hard to feed a family on that unless you are the Stones or something. Kind of funny reading all the law talkers takes on this because you know they are just after their end and otherwise wouldn't care less.
In the end, is it really too much to ask for 320 bit rate for my 99 cents?
|10 weeks 3 days ago||how do you feel about||
libaries legally purchasing your work and freely distributing it to the general public?
|10 weeks 3 days ago||you cannot||
to my knowledge buy from any online music service the same quality music you get from ripping a CD (320 bit rate). Amazon, for instance gives you 256 VBR (variable bit rate). I tried talking with Amazon about this and they blew me off. Will never go back.
if you ask me that is robbery. i have no sympathy whatsoever for the music industry middlemen who rob both the artist and the consumer--yeah, i did say rob.
I have rather high end equipment and CAN tell the difference. It pisses me right the hail off. They bitch about pirates, but that is exactly what they are. fawk em all.

Dudes, chill out already.
Too many people take this blog waaaaaay too seriously. Isn't it supposed to be for info and entertainment? At least that is what I take it for. The adoration of one brain cook does kind of scare me at times--it is that kind of blind adoration which has lead many a man down a destructive path--but oh well. And Mr. Brain Cook--you whine about people whining about Chitownblue--who basically drives up traffic and hits to your site--it sounds personal to me. You seem like a nice dude, but chill dude--isn't this your livlihood? And, I don't care how much tv football you have watched--you'll never know as much as the coaches. Your wide stance on that is vastly suboptimal. Most the of people up in here are great--even if they don't like my schtick--which come on, hardly anyone does--I don't mind. And, leave the freakin kids alone--we don't really NEED all that info and anyone who says they do is an midiot.
In conclusion, potato salad muthafawkers.
Oh, and that is a Sheep mask, not a goat.
