Let us know what special Michigan gifts you received last night or today.  Special congratulations to anyone who received tickets for the CFP game in Arizona.

I forgot my favorite Michigan pajama pants at a hotel a few months ago, so I scored a replacement today, as well as another new M hoodie from the in-laws.

So I'm all set for my now traditional New Year's Eve semifinal formal wear.

I got this gift about 10 years ago and been hanging it on the tree every year. Last year the was a slim chance. This season there is a better chance. I hope it happens!

My 8 year old got me a Michigan coaster from his school's Christmas shop. Might be my favorite gift I got this year.

My favorite gift opened is the JJ McCarthy jersey we got for him.
His excitement when he opened the box was through the roof.

Merry Christmas all!

Merry Christmas MGoBloggers!  Got a new Michigan highball glass to add to my collection of bowl glasses going back to 1980.  Tonight, I'll be sipping some Charles Woodson bourbon from it thinking about how much all of us have to be thankful for.

Not really about what Michigan gift I got, instead a funny story about giving a Michigan gift. I have two young nieces, Megan and Sara, who are like many young ladies difficult to buy for. All at once I have what I think is a gift idea for the ages: I will get Megan UM related stuff (with the Block M displayed prominently) and Sara the same swag from MSU (again with the Block S displayed). Brilliant, right? Well, these young ladies are Cali born and raised, they have no connection to Michigan except for their weird uncle, and it happens Megan's favorite color is green and Sara thinks the maize and blue combo is perfect for her ... great idea, and pretty well received by the recipients, but not so hot on the execution.

Got a JJ McCarthy autographed football and display case!

It’s not weird that a 40 something father of 3 is excited about getting the signed football of a 19 year old kid, right, right?

Only if you weren’t chasing him down the street yelling “go blue” to get the autograph. Back when Lloyd held meet the team autograph sessions, my son and I went for years. We got over 200 signatures on that ball and is displayed in my deceased mothers oak curio case in my dining room.

Good health, good cheer, the company of my family, and the well-being of my community. If you have that, you have received everything. If don’t have that, then you have nothing.

I got a Michigan Big 10 championship 2022 T-shirt. Goes along with my 2021 Big 10 championship T-shirts last season. I hope to get a national championship shirt later in January!

Just bought our first house at age 54. So we agreed that NEXT year we will celebrate properly. Just too much going on with the parents living with us and dad in chemo.

Hope you all had a great year.

I got a beautiful little granddaughter this year. That beautiful little girl brought grandma and I the stomach flu for Xmas. It’s awesome being almost 50 and having it coming out of both ends like I was 8 yrs old again. To quote Seinfeld, “I haven’t thrown up since 1980”. But I did get my 16 yr old the Michigan Jordans, which I must say are pretty dam awesome!
