I also had a difficult time understanding this philosophy early in the Beilein tenure. I think the first day I ever played organized basketball I was told to follow my shot. This issue is likely being brought up again because Villanova had so many timely Offensive Rebounds last night. It would be nice to see the next evolution of John Beilein to move off the auto bench and consider the possibility of offensive rebounding. Just an idea, just saying! |

I can not think of a BBall Nat Champ game ‘92, ‘93, ‘13 or OSU football game in the past 15 years where I didn’t have a sinking feeling we were going to lose. Doesn’t feel like that this time. This team oozes confidence and can win in so many different ways. Beilein seems more confident and prepared this time. I expect a win tomorrow night. Beilein deserves it and these players deserve it. |

When the team went to the title game in ‘13 I felt like Beilien was in over his head. They did a pre-game interview with him and he looked nervous. I didn’t have a good feeling after that interview. I don’t anticipate that tomorrow night. Beilien knows he deserves to be there and has confidence in this team. This isn’t a starting 5 loaded with NBA ready talent and the National POY. It’s a 10 deep perfect mixture of shooters, defense, ball handling, passing, team symmetry, confidence and belief in each other, unselfishness, commitment, and love for each other and the game. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but it only exists on teams like these who win championships. This is the quintessential Beilien team and this is the team that will win it all. |

Take KenPom, the National Pundits and any other naysayers and toss it out. Doesn’t matter. Villanova is good and they are a very tough matchup for us. Michigan is good and we are a very tough matchup for them. They have not seen a team like ours that can win in so many different ways. Our road to the Title game has allowed us to see many different types of teams, offenses, defensive schemes, players and we have responded every time. This game will be no different. Championship teams find a way and we will. |
