Vegas has missed the mark of this game by average of like 20 points the last 4 times they played, so this is pretty meaningless

Vegas adjusts lines actively to get 50/50 betting.  I'm sure they made the standard amount of money on every UM/OSU game for the past 20 years.  I'm sure that in 2007, when Jimmy's Cardinal were 41 point dogs to USC, and won, that Vegas still made money.  I don't understand why so many people believe that Vegas is trying to predict the score, rather than get a 50/50 spread and charge a 10% premium on losses, thus making 5% every week like clockwork.  That's all Vegas is trying to do.

1. i prefer being 7-10 pt dogs.  hopefully it will swing that way.

2.  in the gang culture, for instance crips and bloods, that 'crossing out' of letters or not using the first letter of the rival's set (gang) is common.  the way they do it is simple enough:  crips won't use the name 'bloods' because of the 'b', so instead they will call them 'slobs'.   similarly, bloods won't call their rivals 'crips', but instead 'rickets' or sometimes 'e-rickets'.

i would suggest we let ohio continue to stoop to that level while we continue to unabashedly use the whole alphabet.

And stop calling them "Bucks."

They're literally nuts. They're Buckeyes. That "Bucks" is a tough-guy name they've adopted, like nicknaming yourself "Butch."

They seek to make them seem more robust than mere nuts, which IS their name & mascot. Don't support their narcissism.

I'll take a shot at translation.

Charley Boys: Presumably more commits soon?  From some high school

Aaron Scott, elite CB from outside of Columbus, wants to commit soon.

AJ Barner's sister is dating former Buckeye TE Cade Stover?  Random note there.

Elite 2025 Belleville QB Bryce Underwood isn't scared off by us having elite 2024 QB Jadyn Davis already committed.

Acuff? v. Trey Mckenney (Top 30 2025 bball recruit).  Not sure what this one means.  Not sure who Nook would be.

Good. Let’s hope media hypes up this OSU team all year and we see this 3 pt turn into a 6-10 pts so the boys can have even more motivation to win by more than 20 points this year.

Betting now on the 12th game of a season which hasn't had a fall camp yet is buying futures on 18-21 year old males, most of whom have been the center of attention for the last decade.  Your results may vary and past performance may not reflect future outcomes.

BTW, 3pts. is the bump you get for playing at home.  The oddsmakers don't see much difference between these two teams right now.

I've always thought, "just say OSU."

It's a Michigan board, not an Oklahoma board...no one has ever mistaken the team in question.

That way you don't have to say the name of the state, the nickname/mascot, or even worse...do some corny "TTDS" bullshit. And the whole Brady Hoke, not saying "state" when there's already the Bobcats thing was weird as well.

Just OSU, it's simple, quick, easy. Kinda like our last two games versus the *uckeyes.

My daughter is a proud grad of Ohio University, is a big Michigan fan and hates Ohio State.  She has a shirt that says "We are Ohio, you are State."  Don't call the Buckeyes "Ohio." (Also she lived in Columbus for a minute and said crossing out the M every November is just annoying to people who just live and work there)

I know it's petty, but it makes me smile and doesn't cost a cent. OSU - ohowihate (my phone gets it after two letters now) OSU former coach = Oscar OSU current coach = Nacho MSU = spurty PSU = peds PSU coach = Frames Janklin (thanx Brian, Seth) or heeeey it Franklin Iowa - gonna need sumthin for them and a couple of their new players
