Michigan's Odds to Win National Championship Now 22:1
A Vegas sports book now has our National Championship odds at 22-to-1 - same as Utah and Ole Miss. A week ago, they were 150-to-1. Our odds are ninth-best. Forgive the Freep link.

I would love to know how your brain went from a bet about Shane starting with the stakes being a left nut, into a bet about the national title and the stakes being a house.

4.5% chance to win the National Championship? I don't know about that, this hype train has gone crazy over the last few weeks. Hopefully after the next 2 weeks, it gets even bigger

There's probably still a few seats left on the bandwagon, but not for long. Standing room only after this week, if all goes well.
But 22:1 seems low. Maybe to win the B1G. But to win the Playoff? That requires winning six games against top-15 teams, starting this week. 22:1 doesn't reflect that, but it probably does reflect the rapidly dropping number of teams with ANY chance of making the playoff. Two weeks from now, that will be a very small number. These odds anticipate that, I think. Right now, Michigan has a realistic shot at being one of those teams (by winning against both NW and MSU).
Northwestern makes me the most nervous of all the games remaining, OSU notwithstanding.
It's a game between two teams with a lot to prove and a lot at stake. Very hard to know what will happen.

In a normal year I would say the notion would be fantasy, but I really don't know what to make of the top teams this year. It seems like the top is not as strong this year, so far.
UM would definatly have to do more in passing game though, to legimately get into the conversation.

UM vs MSU is now a pick em game. MSU was favored by 4.5 when early lines came out.
OSU is only favored by 4.5 after being favored by 16 this summer.

Through the air? Screen pass going for 30 yds does not count as an over 20 yd pass?
I'd be tempted to take that bet.
I think Rudock's range is 10-15 yds at best and then accuracy falls off a cliff once you are past 20 yd mark.
I'm hoping he and JH are just rope a doping us at this point.
