Zack is maturing a lot. I feel he would have pulled up for a perimiter shot two years ago.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
Yeah, he is much better at putting it on on the floor this year.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:14 PM ^
If we get clicking I don't think there's a team in the Big Ten that could beat us

Stu took his fuckin cookies
January 8th, 2012 at 3:14 PM ^
Finally Morgan is starting to play
January 8th, 2012 at 3:15 PM ^
We won
January 8th, 2012 at 3:16 PM ^
This might be the best defense that M has played in years. I am loving it.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:16 PM ^
I know Stu and Novak are Grit Warriors, but Taylor looks like he has regressed heavily from last year. In fact, Wisconsin as a whole seems down a couple notches.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:17 PM ^
You have to imagine Novak and Kovacs are best friends. Grit explosion.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:27 PM ^
They're the same person, man.
Novacs.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:17 PM ^
Wisconsin basketball is quite the opposite of Wisconsin football
January 8th, 2012 at 3:18 PM ^
Michigan Daily getting some pub on national TV!!!
What a great operation Daily Sports is running.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:21 PM ^
is playing his best game of the year.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:21 PM ^
Nice to win the turnover battle against the team that commits the fewest in the country.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:22 PM ^
Sec defense today!
January 8th, 2012 at 3:23 PM ^
so we swept Mich state last year...why do they always get more hype then us still?
January 8th, 2012 at 3:25 PM ^
Same reason our football team gets more hype.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:37 PM ^
I never thought about it that way. and I guess if you're school produces Magic Johnson and all the Izzo teams you get a rep after a while
January 8th, 2012 at 3:40 PM ^
It's true if you think about the past 10-15 years. All-time, though, it's a different story. We were the established program in this state for a long time (and still lead the all-time series by about 20 games).
January 8th, 2012 at 4:00 PM ^
It's why it's so annoying to me when you hear Sparty's talk about how great their basketball program has always been, and they act like it's always been MSU then Michigan. When up until the Fab Five stuff broke, the teams were even in National Titles but Michigan had more Final Four's.
January 8th, 2012 at 5:26 PM ^
You're assuming that Sparty fans would be able to do the math. the only thing they know how to count is times they've beat us and couches set on fire
January 8th, 2012 at 3:32 PM ^
That will change soon. Deep breaths, we will crush them in the future.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:23 PM ^
They put us in front of Ohio in the standings. Being in front of Ohio alphabetically FTW.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:38 PM ^
just geographically too we're always on top
January 8th, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
I think that this lead is safe.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
Too soon to say Burke is better than Morris? Definitely better as a freshman. And better for the offensive scheme. Has definitely lived up to the hype.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:27 PM ^
An excellent job taking over for Morris. I like that he can actually shoot the 3
January 8th, 2012 at 3:28 PM ^
I'm not sure if he's actually better for the offensive scheme, but there is basically no dropoff overall. Morris was fantastic on the pick and roll; Burke's got more perimeter range. The only concern is if Burke hits the freshman wall later on.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
That's like picking between Manny & THjr
January 8th, 2012 at 3:50 PM ^
Man, I think I like THJ and Trey. I love them all but these guys seem to understand what a team means.

MICHIGAN WINS!!! Trey Burke has down an amazing job filling in Morris's shoes. Great game by Novak too had some beautiful take always! Let's beat NW next! GO BLUE!
January 8th, 2012 at 3:31 PM ^
Sweet victory over a ranked opponent.. I like this sunday afternoon
January 8th, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
Bill Cowher digs GRIT.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:49 PM ^
He did buy a house in ann arbor the week after les miles did. Remember?
January 8th, 2012 at 3:34 PM ^
Beilein looks like he has a huge boner during that interview haha...very understandable why he is very happy
January 8th, 2012 at 3:36 PM ^
Nice victory, but I'm not sure how nice it will look by the end of the season. Wisconsin looked awful out there (some is credit to Michigan, but geez they looked bad). They have also already lost 2 games at home in Big Ten play to MSU (understandable) and Iowa (whaaa?). They don't have to go to OSU or to Indiana, which is lucky, but they could very well lose those two games at home as well. They also got beat at home by Marquette. Right now their best resume builder is a 3 point loss at UNC.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:38 PM ^
Wisconsin always rounds into form as the year goes on. They'll be a good team by season's end.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:41 PM ^
But their bigs aren't as good as they were in the past and outside of Taylor they don't have many threats. The whole team just doesn't shoot as well as they have in the past (and really under performed today). I think this will be a down year for them and doubt they end the season ranked. They'll probably be somewhere on the comfy side of the bubble.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:47 PM ^
January 8th, 2012 at 3:44 PM ^
at the end. they have to win the home games and sneak one or two on the road. M has 13 wins, and with 7 more they are likely in.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:54 PM ^
I'm just saying that I'm not sure how impressive this win will look at the end of the year. It's nice that it was done in very convincing fashion though and that will help in seeding.
January 8th, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
It would be nice to see a "signature" win. Like you said, I don't think this is it. They have to win one of the 5 games against OSU, MSU or Indiana. Or else, they might end the season without a win against a top 25 team (Memphis isn't looking good, and I don't think Wisconsin will end the season in the top 25).
January 8th, 2012 at 5:39 PM ^
It counts as a top25 win if they were top25 at the time of the game. So we have 2 no matter what.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:45 PM ^
to bounce back after a tough loss @ IU. We are one bucket away from being on top of the B10 standings.
January 8th, 2012 at 3:51 PM ^
Wisconsin to 41 points, their lowest output of the season. Their next lowest was 54 points in a loss against Marquette.
