I think it's all relative. In a world of instant-departure transfer portal happenings things move quickly and sometimes without warning.
"Been Real" can certainly be read to be one thing in a contemporary context. Thankfully in this case he quickly edited and dispell those thoughts for anyone who had them.

At this point, I just assume that Gen Z lingo has a different meaning than what I expect as an elder Millennial.
