LSAClassOf2000 Posbang

Submitted by ypsituckyboy on
Our fearless mod LSAClassOf2000 is currently in hospital with a nasty fluid buildup in his chest/lungs. Who knows how they managed to shove a tube down Rainbow Dash's throat without that pony freaking out, but they did. I think a posbang to his health is in order.

Get well soon. I had this in 2012 and it was very serious. Fluid buildup associated with multiple infections and what not and the fluid starts to solidify and cement. If that happens- good night, game over. I was in the hospital for 10 days and had surgery on Christmas Eve in 2012. Good luck. Hopefully they spotted it and treat it early

We will all behave ourselves just about as much as you'd expect of a bunch of unsupervised adolescents. God help us all. Okay, who brought the Jack Daniels and the porn DVDs?

LSAClass, I don't know what your religion is, but there is a Jewish custom for someone who has recovered from a serious illness to host a feast for family and friends as a way of thanking God.  It is called "seudat hodoya" (meal of thanksgiving; pronounced "SEH-ooh-DOT HOE-do-AH").  (I learned about it when i was recovering from a serious illness.)

There is no reason why this wonderful custom should be limited to Jews.  Of course, i don't know how you could have all of us over for dinner, but it could certainly be done virtually.

I can't wait for that, but mostly can't wait to have you back where you belong.  We'll all be offering thanksgivings then.  Return soon.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. There was quite a bit of progress on the draining today, and hopefully that means we can move onto some of the other - less elaborate and invasive - things they would like to do before they read me the riot act about after care and get me out of here. It does mean a lot to me that you are thinking of me and although my presence here is only sporadic for the time being (because procedures and the parade of techs eat time), I should be fully functioning soon enough.

no one wants to be sick on the holidays. Never had to go to the hospital with fluid on my lungs but it sounds scary. Love your diaries and have been wondering where you been.

Glad to see you poke your perverbial "head" into the room.  Godspeed and get well soon!  I'm sure as soon as you are able there is a piping hot steak (blackened Ribeye) and an ice-cold glass of whole milk waiting for you.

Be home for Christmas!

GO BLUE!
