Perhaps the 21 in the date is a typo and it should be 22. I do not remember this crystal ball being there for a year. The December 6 date argues strongly for the typo theory.

This is a huge get if happens. This isn’t one of those last second 3 star recruits where they’re trying to fill out the class. This was a CB they have been high on for most of the cycle and been recruiting. Surprisingly, it was a battle with Illinois. In hindsight, not that surprising giving what Bret has done so far over there. Hill definitely helps the class with the loss of Raylin (sp?) and Colin. LFG

While we're on recruiting, 4* OT Spencer Fano committed to Utah about 30 minutes ago. He's from Provo and most thought it would be down to them and Oregon although Michigan and Clemson had hats on the table too. The Michigan coaching contingent was in his house Sunday night. The Henderson transfer softens the blow a bit.

Always tough to recruit the state of Utah (given the Mormon ties in the community), especially now with the Utah program playing great football with a great coach, and BYU as an option as well.

And Utah wants to do the same things we do, so there's no "but offensive line at Michigan would be super fun" factor. I mean it still would, but I imagine offensive line at Utah is also super fun.

It's pretty clear the Utes are trying to implement a style of football similar to Michigan and Georgia, so it is going to be tough to pry this type of recruit out of the beautiful state of Utah.

Kass posted quotes about the brotherhood of Michigan football. Pz appealed to mods to delete it because he said the post seemed related to religion. I said that seemed like eery censorship - there was momentum building around the post in a positive light about the team unity, leadership, and brotherhood. And a mod deleted the whole thing without comment. Deleting objective quotes and content regarding culture and brotherhood is pretty revealing about the close-minded nature of one the moms, and the blog.
