Looking for Another view of Final Play vs. Indiana
So -- this is what I got from the B16 game film:

(embed below)
To me, it looks like Paige caught the pass, and then Hill got his hand in and knocked it out. I don't think I'm going way out on a limb or breaking any ground here. I was wondering if there are any other images/videos of this that we can immortalize. Can anyone point me in the direction of something better than a play filmed from 100000 yards away mostly covered up by a scorebox?
Also, lets just take a moment to see how sad Paige is after that play. Poor guy. I wouldn't ever wish that sinking feeling on anyone, but better them than me (because obviously me, as a spectator, would have felt worse than he did if the outcome was reversed).
EDIT: updated title for more clarity

im not going to watch it again to let you know the exact minute and second, sorry. but it is during Hill's interview

Thanks for that -- it's a great view from the field-level camera at the goal line, right on top of the play.

Win with cruelty. I feel nothing for Paige.

Not sure why the cameraman stayed focused on Paige after it hit the ground. Usually, especially on a game ending play, you follow the celebrating player. I would've liked to have seen Hill and the rest of the defense's reactions instead of sad Paige.

Uhhhh do you remember Ohio State 2013?
No shots of their defender celebrating, just Gardner laying on the ground

Paige is in disbelief that they didn't run it.

FLASHBACK:

UM's sideline from across the field after his punt return. Live by the sword, die by the sword. I have no sympathy.

I don't remember his taunt.

I also noticed after rewatching the last play several times, they never sent the RB out of the back field and left him in as an extra (and unused) blocker. The play was only a 2 receiver route to the right and had nothing else happening with Indiana's QB only ever looking to the right half of the field.

there was supposed to be the ability for him to roll out to the right and possibly run it -- but Peppers blew that up

awful play design and execution. obviously the decision to run or pass will be debated given their success running the rock - i can understand passing in that situation, just not that particular play.
#2 receiver in the slot singled up on a safety should be a decent matchup for iu while #1 receivers on the outside both run fades (though #1 on the right appeared to run a lazy route) - hill made a great play though. it did kind of remind me of dileo and gardner running and telegraphing some of those pivot routes hoke and borges tended to prefer.
they must really trust the slot and QB to execute in that situation considering they did not utilize rubs, release guys from a stack, etc which many teams opt for in that situation (at least when lacking a beast WR). and a little surprised they did not run anyone to occupy the middle of field if the QBs only read whole way was 2 simple routes to the field side (one of which was a lazy fade), though maybe the slot had an in option but read out.
only wilson and his guys know and im sure they have some regrets. im just sure glad iu not only did not run the ball but opted for that weak call - great play from hill aside

I am glad that they 'Pete Carrol-ed' themselves. In a way, everyone was sensing the exact sequence of final two plays from Indiana.

+1 for proper use of "Pete Carroll" verb.

I feel nothing for Paige. He did score the PR touchdown...

We couldn't do diddly poo to stop him all night. Why go away from what worked so well? Oh well, their loss is our gain.

And I'm not just referring to your use of landscape > portrait mode.
The video O S Who linked shows almost the same view at 7:40/12:30 -- it seems clear Paige never had control:

Question: How could you refrain from joining the on-field celebration?!

the big Michigan crowd. Section 4 through 1 was about 75 percent Michigan fans. After that play it was the loudest the stadium got and it was all of us Michigan fans going crazy!

With Stribling's luck it would have gone through his hands directly to a receiver on the ground or some other ridiculous scenario.

The broacast feed was jumping around too much with quick cuts, because college football directors in the production truck get paid by the cut or something, but you stuck with the actual storyline here. This was much closer to feeling like you were there. Great job!
