Jordan Payton apparently very impressed w ND

Submitted by 7NK7 on

According to TVH and tweets and retweets of Payton, he is loving Notre Dame. Commitment watch may be put to a halt.

Lets just hope he is saying he likes it bc he is there and not bc he actually really likes it!! I think its safe to say that many people have been anticipating Payton to commit to M this week. if we lose out on him, our WR targets suddenly get a little more concerning as i think he was the best of the bunch.

Anyone know when Madaris or Darboh are thinking of announcing?

One more thing he goes to a school which puts quite a few D-1 prospects out year in and year out. He may just been told by coaches to never say a bad thing about other schools because maybe next year said school would not be a good to future recruits. Know he may have really loved ND but even if he did not I can not see one reason to ever say anything bad, these schools wine and dine you and your teamates year in and year out. So I would think they all have to love visits per there coach end of story for future teamates at there alma mater?

good point, looking back to when I was that age I can't imagine If I went on a recruiting visit that I would not have a good time even if I wasn't seriously considering that school.  At least for the blue chip recruits, schools are doing their best to impress and chances are no matter what the end result the recruit is going to have a good time.

Enough said.  How could any parent want their child playing for that self-riteous maniac.  Come to a place where you are treated like an individual and become part of a family the day you step on campus.  Hoke's Bo-like tough love builds men.  Kelly's raging antics proves that he views players as cogs for his machine, another resource to help bolster his career prospects.  This is a no brainer Mr. Payton.

Might be able to take more than one reciever, as scholarships are opening up. Inside sources have said that cornerback Greg Brown has left the team and is looking to transfer to Cincinnati. Source says that spot on depth chart behind fellow freshman Countess and Taylor and the fact Brown enrolled early to compete for playing time are both factors in his decision.

He is a message board poster. People hear stuff all the time - sometimes true, sometimes false. When people hear stiff, they post it on message boards. Not saying that we should out some kid's private decision, but if it were really private then ningnang wouldn't have heard it.

 kids on their future schdule.

Next year they go to Dublin, Ireland to play Navy.  Host Miami in Chicago and will play Oklahoma in a home and home the next two years.  Next years Freshmen will get a chance to play Texas in 2015 and 2016.

This goes with their annual games with Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, USC and Stanford.  They also play BYU and will play a couple games at the Meadowlands.

If you go to ND you will be challenged.

the BIG 10 should talk to there teams about boycotting the Irish. They wanna play 3 and sometimes more like when they also played Ohio , Northwestern, Penn State plus the usual three of Uof M , Purdue, and Sparty. Yet the will not join our conference while turning the BIG 10 down at least 3 or 4 times I have heard of. It is like they get the cake and getting to eat it also, I know that was corny but man I feel like they disrespect the BIG10 while needing our teams to fill their schedules out. Any one else feel this way or am I looking into this to much?

Actually went to the game (brother is a ND graduate so forgive me)...hate to say it but it was a FANTASTIC atmosphere in the stadium on Saturday night.  They pulled out all the stops...the terrible towels, piped in music during 3rd downs and timeouts, etc.  Talked to several other ND graduates and veterans of ND statium...they said it was the loudest they've heard it in 20 years.  Granted the final result wasn't what they had hoped for but it would have been very hard to walk out of there unimpressed.

Towels & music?  Damn, sounds like a fucking fantabulous time!  No way we can beat towels and music.  Throw in a little bit of etc... and there is no way we can match that atmosphere.

If he's already asking for the U of M fans to come out on twitter - not a good sign.  If he's that easily swayed, not sure if you want to count on him for a spot in the 2012 class - could be an easy flip to the darkside.
