FWIW---Local news here in Cincy reporting Hudson has been denied eligibility for 2019 season.

Why does every player rush for eligibility? A year to learn the system and get acclimated could be nice. Plus that 5th year option.

Oh spare me your bullshit. Because fighting for a job, any job, during the worst economy since the Great Depression wasn’t facing adversity.

I do think the millennial generation has its fair share of issues, but we’re not all the self-entitled douchebags you must think we are. Each generation is full of pieces of shit.

No, it’s not. But have you lived on the street before? Has anyone on this blog? Maybe, but I doubt more than a few, if any at all.

I’d venture a guess that most Gen-X’ers and Baby Boomers have never lived on the streets before or had to fight and claw just to put food on the table. So using that as an argument against millennials typically doesn’t hold a lot of water because usually the person sitting across from them and deriding them has never been through that either.

The money is simply too much right night at the pro level now.

30 years ago, you could say “stay in college an extra year, and it will benefit your potential pro stock.”

Now, with guaranteed contracts, even in the late rounds, every player is just trying to rush to the league as quickly as possible, before getting an injury.

I’d do the same thing. The idea of honing your skill in college for free is way too antiquated.

For me, it should be...

Transfer, you sit a SEMESTER (or quarter). Then you're eligible to play without penalty.

Or

The player can elect/agree to sit a full year and get his year back only if he graduates. Even if he hasn't redshirted.

Give them 2 options, make it the same for everyone across the board and let the player and new team decide which way to move forward.

The reason is that he already used his redshirt year at Michigan. This year counts against his eligibility whether he plays or not. He will have two years to play two if cannot play this year.

Based on the rules, I don't see how he ever expected to become eligible for this year. The ironic part is if he had not transferred in the middle of the season, he would have stood a better chance for immediate eligibility if he had transferred and appealed during the offseason after Pep Hamilton was let go. Oliver Martin is most likely appealing for immediate eligibility based on the offensive coordinator change and watch his appeal get approved. Both players are in the same eligibilty situation: HS Class of 2017 with redshirt already used.

This whole industry that  has materialized around appealing for immediate eligibility is a fucking joke. Harbaugh's proposal offers an excellent solution in allowing a one-time no sit transfer to anyone who wants it. That way we can do without the lawyers, the endless "review" procedures, and the disgusting speculation about whether someone like Hudson actually suffered mental health problems or was faking it.

Justin Feagin: is bad

On the topic of Feagin, it’s a testament to how bad the Rich Rod years were when no one talks about or remembers we had a QB (who played in The Game as a freshman) who was the target of someone trying to burn West Quad down for not getting their cocaine
