honestly i think the Broncos are getting a steal with Butt here!

He seems like a guy that would be a Bronco's kind of player too!

Congrats to Jake... can't wait to see him fully healthy

Thought that might happen. Wish the Lions had gotten him. Going to miss the Butt family and all the iterations of the jerseys that they worn over the years. And of course going to miss all his production.

NFL talent all OVER the place...

Darboh, Chesson, now Butt. I'll say it again, that team last year was just a couple of bad breaks from being SPECIAL.

Yep. Breaks the heart. We were absolutely right about the talent level and the timing of the opportunity. And those worried about the OL were absolutely right, too.

If Michigan had a solid OL OR a great college QB (I like Speight and thought he was fine, but he wasn't "great") they at least put up a good fight in the playoff against Clemson, maybe more.

But if Brady Hoke had developed those things, he might not have been fired.

Between the insurance and Charmin endorsement money, I'm glad he'll be able to make up a little bit of what he lost.

Might be good in the long run though. Get drafted to a good team instead of a shitshow. As long as he stays healthy, he'll cash out big time on his 2nd contract with all the talent he has.

I agree with you on the long term. Sounds like the Broncos really wanted him and have a role for him, too. I just checked and last year the first pick of the third round got 4 years, 3.7 mil whereas the first pick of the fifth got 4/2.6 mil. So the insurance might not totally make him whole (depending on where he would go healthy which is impossible to know) but it's certainly closing the gap.

SEAHAWKS COWBOYS BRONCOS RAVENS VIKINGS CHIEFS aside from Peppers to the BROWNS, all our boys are heading to quality franchises that have been recently successful.

Given what I understand to be the Broncos needs, this is a good pick for them. If he can stay healthy, I think Butt and all the memes and jokes that come with him (lovingly, of course) should have a nice stint in the NFL. Another player I look forward to following at the next level.
