Kind of sad the crowd cheered for him falling over on a simple pop fly. Followed by what was clearly an error at third, but for some miracle it was scored a hit. He looks more out of shape than normal. Atleast he can hit. |
| 7 weeks 4 hours ago | Yes. With the new bargainin |
Yes. With the new bargainin rules came this random date 60 days before the draft to declar. But the NCAA has their own date of April 10th to retract and keep eligibility. Hence you are right that it serves no benefit to declare earlier but it may be what has gotten trey to move up on the boards. Its unlikely that Trey retracts his name from the draft and then sends it back it a couple weeks later. |
| 7 weeks 4 hours ago | Players have until April 10th |
Players have until April 10th to withdraw from the draft and maintain eligibility, but they can declare as late as april 29th. |
| 7 weeks 4 hours ago | agree |
I understand its a tough decision for a 19 yr old, but I'd rather he just ripped off the bandaid already and we could move on. |
| 7 weeks 4 hours ago | I've been wavering on this, |
I've been wavering on this, but if the kid does not want to be here next year then as Bo would say, those who stay will be champions. Good luck to him but I look forward to next year and the men that will be representing the maize and blue. |
| 7 weeks 4 hours ago | Im not from michigan, can |
Im not from michigan, can someone explain why its blacked out in Ann Arbor especially when its a sell out? I know the nfl rules about stuff like that but in Ohio we never had blackouts for the Tribe. |
| 7 weeks 4 hours ago | Mock Drafts |
Its nice to see Trey going early second round, but remember that these Mock Drafts for the most part do not include many of the International players that will declare in the next couple weeks. They dont have the same deadline to return to school. This will bump trey 3-4 spots if not more. |
| 7 weeks 1 day ago | I apologize |
Sorry for the walmart comment, but the guy didnt even know burke was a 4 star or that morris was drafted. |
| 7 weeks 1 day ago | Urban meyer? |
Is that you? An ohio offer doesnt mean shit. Look at mr. basketball ohio: lebron, oj mayo, butler, diebler, buford, sullinger, burke. Go tell our 2013 football recruits that an ohio offer is what determines if they are good. |
| 7 weeks 1 day ago | Glad to hear your opinion |
This is becoming a neg bang thread. That needs to stop. These are discussion boards. With that said, to those people: Burke was mr. basketball ohio so expectations were high. Morris was drafted (rd. 2, 41 overall). He now resides in the D-league, that is not the NBA. Thats like saying a minor leaguer is in the MLB. And yes, this is a bad thing for michigan recruiting. We dont recruit the type of one and done players. So for these guys with mediocre draft stock to leave so early hurts our post season runs and the image of the program for producing nba ready players. Crawford was the last product that made it in the NBA. Top talent stays for 2-3 years because their stock wont decrease and they develop into lottery picks. Thats the goal. |
