First, the Lions and Browns are on par if anything. You Detroit fans are delusional with that franchise. And at least the Indians have had decent seasons and currently are ahead of the Tigers. And 1984 ain't something to brag about. Current state of the franchises Cleveland is way ahead of Detroit.

oh and when I have to listen to Detroit fans who still think they have anything to cheer for. Literally worst city in the country and worst sports city. Your venues are crap. But hey at least you have that awesome... oh right you're good at scamming people and poisoning them.

Just noticed he is almost 19 y/o and will be 20 when he shows up next fall. I wonder if that's why he's not getting as much recruiting love. Maybe they think he has less potential as a more mature player? I guess we will find out, still very impressive SPARQ stats regardless of age posted earlier.

Robinson is not even close to Stauskas as an overall offensive player. Stauskas was a point guard who grew 4 more inches and kept his ball handling skills. Robinson is awkward doing anything but shooting from the arc. Would much rather see him off the bench as a role player. So many games down the stretch he was just taken out of the game and we basically played wtih 4 on offense. Dawkins hit a higher percentage in that time as well but clearly was not on Beilein's mind. Next year I think Beilein will bring out the 2 point guard look for 10-15 minutes a game with Walton and Simpson. He did that a lot with Spike to free up Burke and Walton. Also one thing we didnt see this year was Wagner's ability to be a true stretch 4/5. One day we will have a Pittsnogle, one day.

I disagree that they're rewarding players for getting their degrees. Most of these guys would never survive in real classes at these schools. Most take fluff classes for fluff majors and in the case of UNC the classes don't even exist. It would be impossible to graduate in 3 years for most majors let alone while being a football or basketball player that only takes 12 credits during their season. This is a loop hole in the system and that is it

Anyone heading to the game. Good place for drinks and food before and after game is in the Oregon District. Lucky's Tavern and the Dublin Pub are two good spots. Looking for a more expensive meal, try Roost Italian, Corner Kitchen, or Coco's Bistro. All are about 5 minutes from University of Dayton. Dayton Beer Company and Warped Wing are the go to breweries. The nicer suburbs to stay are Oakwood, Kettering, Centerville, and Miamisburg, all about 10-15 minutes from downtown. There is a large Crowne Plaza right in the middle of downtown which is close to Oregon District and UD, but there is a Marriot right across from UD and is probably the best spot if you want to be close to the stadium.

Yea spike was terrific at times off the screen. That dude made 7 footers look silly shooting over them, swooping under them, or bounce passing a ball too low for them to reach. Real baller.

Every game, Donnal and Doyle give these half energy screens. They rarely make any contact with the defender, BUT the ball carriers also need to rub shoulders with the bigs. I think the bigger issue is we lack a go to guy that can not only drive well off the screen but also stop and be a threat to shoot. Burke, Stauskas, and LeVert were all good with both aspects. Walton is getting bullied at the rim and Irvin struggles a lot with his handle and his very long release doesnt help in that situation. I like MAAR driving a lot but his shot is very hot and cold. Donnal has greatly improved his hands going toward the basket and one reason I think Wagner was preferred earlier in the season.

No, don't do that is probably expected. Lots to learn before it's safe and controlled. I'd guess a vaccine is more likely depending on how it actually works. But definitely possible!
|20 weeks 2 days ago||My medical opinion||
I thought I'd share my opinion on the matter since you think it's a complete farce. The immune response that causes allergies is similar to fighting a parasitic infections (Both TH2 cell response leading to IgE release, allergy is a memory like response to an allergen that releases IgE in huge amounts to sensitized Mast cells). In laymans terms, by making the body focus on a chronic parasite infection, the immune system doesn't get as caught up worrying about minor allergens. Now if you have anaphylactic reactions it wont do much of anything to help you. But by keeping the immune system busy with a parasite you can avoid developing allergies. There is a lot of evidence that allergies are a first world problem. Looking at the correlation with chronic parasite infections and allergies in endemic populations, this theory is gaining a lot of steam in the medical community. Allergies are almost non existant in these regions. And despite what many think, the most common parasites are pretty benign. Obviously having a tapeworm is not good as well as giardia, trypanosomas/chagas/sleeping sickness, schistosome, etc. But if they could ideally do enough research to finding a happy medium, it is definitely plausible. Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator Americanus aka Helminths are relatively benign and nearly a billion people are infected. Same theory is used for Acute Dermatitis which is often referred to as a suburban illness related to allergies and is often rare in endemic communities with parasites. So I guess you can fire me now...

Really don't want to neg too much on LeVert but man, I thought we had something to play for this season and still do. I understand thinking about his future, but I feel like you play for the love of the game and to compete. He's obviously cautious going into the draft, and we dont know what's going on injury wise, but would love to see him come out and compete through pain against a rival and to help his team. Possibly his last chance to beat state.

How exactly do you imagine a stem cell "cocktail" working. CTE is similar to Parkinson and alzheimers. Plaque build up eventually kills the cells. Neurons can regenerate axons with damage (see denard ulnar nerve damage) but once they are dead, there's just a fibrous scar left. Stem cells are great and all for leukemia or bone marrow regeneration but how are you going to rebuild someone's memories, both mental and physical, from stem cells?

Two big players in esophageal cancer are squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma (Barrett's Esophagus). Without knowing what he has or any details, typically has a poor prognosis depending on invasion of mucosal layers. Around 15% survival at 5 years. With stage IV, prognosis is rather poorer. Squamous cell is more environmental: smoking, alcohol, hot beverages. Adenocarcinoma is from chronic GERD/reflux.

There are 5 types of Hodgkin Lymphoma. The most common type, Nodular, occurs mostly in young persons roughly 30 years old. So most cases (70-80%) will be around this age group. But as I was taught, it has an "extremely great" prognosis. Words I rarely see in my medical studies.

levert graduates after 2015 even if he returns. Spike if he doesnt redshirt will also graduate. Irvin is NBA possibility and may leave after junior year. Brown is a 1 and done. We addressed bielfelt is likely only coming back as a back up back up option or walkon. And never know if dawkins explodes enough to leave early. Either way theres room. what dont you get by this pickup for 2016?

Please dont advise people like that. Preach what you know. If someone guided me away from medicine I would have been pretty upset later on. Its a grueling process to get in, to make it thru 4 years, pass boards, and finish residency but there's nothing I would rather do. At least encourage them to explore the field thoroughly and get all the facts.

You need to do some research if you're going into medicine. First, resident are quite experienced at giving physicals so that shouldnt concern you especially as being a member of the medical community who should understand we learn by doing. Also, the match rate is only that low because it include foreign applications, off shore med schools, and DO medical student applications. Their match rates are much lower, as compared to MD grads who have greater than a 95% match rate. But yea to meet the doctor shortage we need more federal funds for residency spots. Thats why so many medical schools have opened recently, and it has not gotten easier to get in. Application numbers are at all time highs and maybe a couple hundred spots have been added.
