It's Friday night, are we not drinking?
So I was contemplating whether we needed another board post and the merits of taking about drinking. Then I thought WWECD? What Would Ezekiel Creatures Do? The answer was right in front of me.
So just finished up work and going to find a brewery in town pre-game what should be a great sports weekend. What's in your bottle?

Irish whiskey night: Redbreast 12yr Single Pot Still and then some Teeling Single Grain.
December 3rd, 2021 at 8:11 PM ^
I've never had Irish Wiskey that didn't involve alcohol abuse. Any recommendations for something good to pour on the rocks that will cost me less than 50 bucks a bottle?
December 3rd, 2021 at 8:27 PM ^
I am personally also sipping the Redbreast 12 (neat), but Glendalough Double Barrel on the rocks is good and a bottle is only 35-40 bucks.

Cashews... the filet mignon of the nut family.

Need a beer recommendation for tomorrow. I'm making the famous appetizer from McSorley's in NY -- Saltines with cheddar cheese, white onion and mustard. But I'm deep frying the Saltines and adding grilled all-beef hot dogs to the mix. Hit me up with some beer suggestions for that meal.
December 3rd, 2021 at 7:51 PM ^
Sounds good. I'd probably go with a stout or maybe a porter.

KBS is pretty wildly available in the Midwest I hear these days. Maybe give that a try?
December 4th, 2021 at 12:40 AM ^
All that savory and salty, I’d do an IPA.
Currently available is X from Masthead, but I live near Cleveland and I don’t think they sell in MI.
Of course in the most beautiful, amazing, lovely, phenomenal, most badass state there is (Michigan) you have the option of Two Hearted or Crooked Tree. I prefer crooked tree

Taking a couple puffs on my oil pen and then maybe some Traverse City Whiskey on the rocks. Oberon for the game tomorrow, it’s what I drank during the OSU game and I’m not willing to risk not drinking it tomorrow. Cheers All, GO BLUE!!

Drinking some beer from an Indianapolis brewery even though I'm not able to head up for the game tomorrow (I live in Bloomington). Guggman Haus is a solid brewery.

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
Brewed up a session IPA with Idaho 7, Centennial, and Simcoe last week. Will be taking the keg of it over to my buddy's house this time tomorrow night. He's an Iowa fan so the least I can do is provide him some beer while I cheer loudly and wake up his small kids as we clinch the playoffs
December 3rd, 2021 at 10:24 PM ^
Up vote for the double oaked. One of my favorites
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:01 PM ^
Guinness for me. It had been a while since I've had one. Can't go wrong with the nitro classic.

Bourbon County Brand Stout, '21 version (Goose Island). Good batch.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:13 PM ^
Had a double barrel one after the OSU win. It tasted like victory.
December 3rd, 2021 at 11:31 PM ^
Oh nice! Did you have the previous version of the "double barrel" (2019) or was it this year's sort of double barrel that was the toasted barrel-double barrel?!
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:12 PM ^
Just poured a glass of Belle Meade sherry cask Bourbon over a big rock. And to keep the football high going right into tomorrow, I’ve queued up the first half of the ‘97 Penn State game.
