I was surprised to see the price of Penn State and Wisconsin. I guess they're the best home games we have.
Compare this year with 2015:
Game | Date | End Zone | Maize/Blue | Victors/Valiant |
Oregon State | Sept. 12 | $80 | $90 | $100 |
UNLV | Sept. 19 | $55 | $65 | $75 |

Thanks for relaying this info. I'm trying to get up for a game this year, so this helps. Looks like I'll see y'all September 10th.

Wisconsin is the most expensive ticket. I am going to guess this will be the night game. PSU price is close though.
2016 may be one of the worst home schedules in recent memory, especially considering there are 8 home games.

Maybe they are figuring since we haven't hosted/played Wisky in a couple decades demand is going to be pretty high for that game.

I was so surprised the Wisconsin and Penn St game were MORE than the MSU/Ohio St. games last year, yet other games were still around the same as last year.

2014 was not great either, but at least it featured a decent Utah team in the nonconference, and it was limited to 7 home games as Notre Dame was on the road.
What they both have in common: the new divisional schedule for Michigan. Damn you Jim Delany!

The coke was better than the play on the field.

You must not remember 2014.
2016 is definitely better than that.

if only because they are the only prices for either year/game/section NOT a multiple of $5. That is all.

The Buffaloes finished 4-9 last year. Sagarin ranked them #90, below #85 Maryland, #71 Illinois, and #69 Indiana.
At the time of scheduling, that may have seemed like a reasonable OOC slate, but it turned out awful. Sagarin ranked Hawaii #166 and UCF #168 last year. (Just three seasons ago (2013), UCF beat Baylor in the BCS Fiesta Bowl.)

I think that's really stupid and they definitely won't sell out.
Just like last year BYU was priced very highly and then was subsequently the least attended game of last season.
February 24th, 2016 at 1:12 PM ^
I don't know about that. Michigan will more than likely enter the season in the Top 10; Hawaii will sell out because it's the home opener, UCF will be tough to sell out, but I think Colorado will still draw a sellout becuase the fans will be in a frenzy about moving up in the polls.

Colorado is the night game, which in a way makes sense. It appeases both sides of the fan base, those that like a night game to combat the warm Saturday's in early September and those that prefer to see the B1G games be noon or 3:30 starts.

surprised to see ticket prices this high. maybe i'm weird, but i prefer sitting at home watching the game in hd on a 60" TV. even when i was a student i'd leave at halftime to watch the rest of the game at home; can see a lot more of the nuances of the game. granted, those were the rich rod days.

I cannot agree more. I love football, watch an insane amount, but there is a good chance I might never go to a game again (college or pro). Between the expense of tickets, parking, dealing with crowds, the up-charging of food coupled with my HD TV, plus DVR for replay, plus the ability to watch multiple games, AND have commentary (watching a game without play by play and color really bothers me) I seriously don't know why people go anymore (PS I'm not old, 28).
Sure you get classic games like Notre Dame at night few years back which I'm sure are memorable to be at, but the overall cost minus what you give up, just not worth it. If you look around every league is dealing with attendence issues and IMO it will only get worse. A lot of people have been priced out, and the HDTV experience is too good.

Truly sad that people feel this way.
Watching on TV can never compare to being at a Michigan game.
Being able to actually be an active spectator and cheer along with 110,000 is an incredible experience and nothing comes close to that when you're a couch potato. Not to mention, you get to enjoy classic, college only traditions like the Band's Pregame and Halftime Shows, The Victors, Blues Brothers, running out of the tunnel AND you don't have to sit through annoying advertising and announcers.

I'm surprsied to see Wisconsin and Penn State so high. If the schedule had MSU or OSU on it, I'm sure Wisconsin and Penn State would be cheaper. Sucks to not have a home rivalry game.

These prices are outrageous! This Hackett character needs to go!

If you paid PSD, you're potentially buying season tickets. Season ticket prices are different than single game prices.

But the games are obviously a good deal less enticing
February 24th, 2016 at 12:29 PM ^
Winning takes money, I guess.
Don Brown + recruiting coordinators + video analysts + jets + FL spring practice.
We should have gotten more of a discount the last 8 years BJH (before Jim Harbaugh), is all.
(M Wins during previous season) x (Opponents # wins) could be the basis for a good formula. It would discourage scheduling boring cupcake games.
