I was surprised to see the price of Penn State and Wisconsin. I guess they're the best home games we have.

Compare this year with 2015:

Game Date End Zone Maize/Blue Victors/Valiant
Oregon State Sept. 12 $80 $90 $100
UNLV Sept. 19 $55 $65 $75
Brigham Young Sept. 26 $80 $90 $100
Northwestern (HC) Oct. 10 $75 $85 $95
Michigan State Oct. 17 $95 $105 $115
Rutgers Nov. 7 $65 $75 $85
Ohio State Nov. 28 $95 $105 $115

Wisconsin is the most expensive ticket. I am going to guess this will be the night game. PSU price is close though.

2016 may be one of the worst home schedules in recent memory, especially considering there are 8 home games.

The Buffaloes finished 4-9 last year. Sagarin ranked them #90, below #85 Maryland, #71 Illinois, and #69 Indiana.

At the time of scheduling, that may have seemed like a reasonable OOC slate, but it turned out awful.  Sagarin ranked Hawaii #166 and UCF #168 last year.  (Just three seasons ago (2013), UCF beat Baylor in the BCS Fiesta Bowl.)

surprised to see ticket prices this high.  maybe i'm weird, but i prefer sitting at home watching the game in hd on a 60" TV.  even when i was a student i'd leave at halftime to watch the rest of the game at home; can see a lot more of the nuances of the game.  granted, those were the rich rod days.

I cannot agree more. I love football, watch an insane amount, but there is a good chance I might never go to a game again (college or pro). Between the expense of tickets, parking, dealing with crowds, the up-charging of food coupled with my HD TV, plus DVR for replay, plus the ability to watch multiple games, AND have commentary (watching a game without play by play and color really bothers me) I seriously don't know why people go anymore (PS I'm not old, 28).

Sure you get classic games like Notre Dame at night few years back which I'm sure are memorable to be at, but the overall cost minus what you give up, just not worth it. If you look around every league is dealing with attendence issues and IMO it will only get worse. A lot of people have been priced out, and the HDTV experience is too good.

I agree 100%. I am 30 and agree that watching the game at home on a big TV without lines for the bathroom or food is a huge bonus. Play by play, replay, no crowds, and ability to watch more than one game at a time keep me at home every weekend. That being said I will be attending the Penn State game this fall. Being in Oregon it is a huge expense to make it out to a game but it is a huge family event. We are also going to see at Tiger game that weekend, walk around campus, and spend a months salary at Mden so it is more than just attending a game.

Truly sad that people feel this way.

Watching on TV can never compare to being at a Michigan game.

Being able to actually be an active spectator and cheer along with 110,000 is an incredible experience and nothing comes close to that when you're a couch potato. Not to mention, you get to enjoy classic, college only traditions like the Band's Pregame and Halftime Shows, The Victors, Blues Brothers, running out of the tunnel AND you don't have to sit through annoying advertising and announcers.

I'm surprsied to see Wisconsin and Penn State so high. If the schedule had MSU or OSU on it, I'm sure Wisconsin and Penn State would be cheaper. Sucks to not have a home rivalry game.

$65 is not really a bargain. I could get 2 tickets, 2 hot dogs and 2 drinks for a Wings game for that amount. College sports should never be charging as much as pro sports. With the addition of suites and club seats to Michigan Stadium, they really don't need to over price the average fan.

Thanks again for shitty even year schedules, Brandon. The only wow factor you gave me was "wow, you were actually that stupid to agree to play MSU and OSU on the road in the same year."

Thanks for nothing asshole.

Winning takes money, I guess.

Don Brown + recruiting coordinators + video analysts + jets + FL spring practice.

We should have gotten more of a discount the last 8 years BJH (before Jim Harbaugh), is all.

(M Wins during previous season) x (Opponents # wins) could be the basis for a good formula. It would discourage scheduling boring cupcake games.

Here is a quick look at what one other team charges. From Rolltide.com:

Alabama 2016 Single-game
--------------------------------------
Middle Tennessee State $55
Ole Miss $85
Louisiana – Monroe $55
Arkansas $85
Tennessee $90
LSU $100
Charleston Southern $50

There must be other factors involved I can't take into account.
