Following the end of the Fighting Creamsicles-Fighting Moonshiners game (Tennessee-Kentucky for those of you saying "WTF"?)

Deserves a lot of credit for bringing us back to respectability to cap a career made on being clean and developing a brilliant offensive system. Two big ten titles and two serious tourney runs (in 8 years!) in spite of never building a team for defense. But the recruiting topped out shy of elite and JB is 62. The "fire him now" crowd is mistaken to think a coach who pulls top 5 classes to Michigan is just waiting for Warde to call, but I expect the new AD has a transition timeline on his radar.

Maybe more DJ Wilson against these more athletic teams? He shows a level of hustle and athleticism most guys on the team don't have.

Just about sums it about. No F****** idea what to do on defense.

This comment would make a lot more sense if Michigan had shot lights out and still lost. As it stands, you have committed the logical fallacy of denying the antecedent (aka the fallacy of the inverse). Feel free to read more about it here.
I've deleted three paragraphs that felt good to type but wouldn't contribute to the discussion. I'll compress it to this: I question people who are so unabashedly negative as many of you on this thread. We're talking about a group of young men working their rear ends off for our entertainment. While this was not the most entertaining game I've ever watched, I don't question for one moment that the team gave everything that they had. Some of you really ought to rethink your collective attitude.

You posture that I have logical fallacy, but you are forgetting about the null hypothesis (on phone, so I can't link and look smart) in that we don't have the defense to win against good teams...even when we shoot good (Maryland is the exception). Therefore, there is no denying the antecedent because your assumptions are wrong, which means I did not commit a logical fallacy.
And get off your high horse. There is no problem criticizing the team after a loss like this. Most of it has been tame. Yes, they are working their asses off for our entertainment, but they are getting a free eduction to do so. This is big time basketball (even though they don't play that way).
Also, if you this team really gave everything they had tonight, then be ready for the same result against MSU. Or is that a logical fallacy?

If we hadn't had that 3 month drought between buckets, we might have been there in the end.

I'm not the biggest Beilein fan either, but exchanging him with Crean would be dumb. In 7 years at IU he has not made it past the Sweet Sixteen. He has won the B1G once, but his second best finish was 5th. As we know, Beilein has won the B1G outright as wel as tied for first. Beilein has also had more success than Crean in the tourney.
Crean has recruited better than Beilein but hasn't done much else better... and recruiting isn't exactly a huge challenge at IU.
Even if Crean was a slightly better overall coach (which he isn't), I would still take Beilein because Crean is such a massive goof.

This was a disappointing loss. The defensive effort was poor, and you also have to score more often if you want to win. Hopefully they rebound for the game against MSU.

the one side of the score line just kept going up.
I think I've just found out what hell will be like.
I guess it was preferable to sitting through that, but boy did that suck.

I made the decision to go to this game. It was uglier in person.
