Best WR name ever!
December 21st, 2011 at 4:57 PM ^
That's extremely cool BD. How far did you get nationally?
December 22nd, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
I had a few top-5 grade level finishes. Mostly I played in Ohio but I made it around the country from time to time to play in tournaments. I did well for a time but what I wanted to do in college at the time was clarinet so that took up more and more of my practice time. Nowadays I don't play as much chess but I enjoy teaching other people.
December 22nd, 2011 at 1:05 PM ^
Your one opportunity to ever sneak in this fun fact, well done.
December 22nd, 2011 at 4:34 PM ^
Yes! High five!

Yahoo! Jehu!
December 21st, 2011 at 1:38 PM ^
Great talents, great names!
December 21st, 2011 at 1:38 PM ^
Jeh-UUUUUUUUU!
I look forward to fans in Michigan Stadium doing their best Kuhn/Heath/Moos/other sports figure with this sound in their name impression in the years to come.
December 21st, 2011 at 3:53 PM ^
I don't look forward to that. It's played out, cliched, predicatable... pretty much one of the most unoriginal (and also mildly annoying) things that sports fans do.
Let's not be like that.
(Caveat: We'll be like that anyways though.... and right after people are done going "jehuuuuuuuuu" they'll probably segue right into a 7NA chant.)

December 21st, 2011 at 5:10 PM ^
I guess we just disagree.
Maybe it's a product of me being drunk after tailgating or you being a Bears fan/Ravens fan/Fan of a team that plays against a team with a player's name like that, but I will enjoy yelling UUUUUUUU with a deep voice in the future, even if I lose a few sports hipster points.
I'm with you on 7NA, though.
December 21st, 2011 at 7:55 PM ^
I agree. It was kind of cool when it was for Lou Whitaker in the 1980s. Now it's played.
December 22nd, 2011 at 9:17 PM ^
Funny that you say that. I was also thinking of Sweet Lou as the first person that I heard fans doing that for. Can anyone think of an earlier example or anything?
I guess that people shouted "Bruuuuce" for Springsteen before that, so that might be the originator. I wouldn't mind knowing the real answer though . . .
December 21st, 2011 at 1:38 PM ^
can we yell huuuuuuu (like boo) when he makes a catch.
December 21st, 2011 at 1:46 PM ^
I don't know. Maybe just yay.
December 21st, 2011 at 1:38 PM ^

December 21st, 2011 at 1:47 PM ^
Welcome to the good guys, Jehu!
December 21st, 2011 at 2:04 PM ^
Is this a good pick up for us, or are we better to wait to see what some of the higher ranked WR were going to do? I know we all want the class to fill up, but I would rather wait out a 5 star potential than a three star. I may be wrong, not being a recruiting expert.
December 21st, 2011 at 2:53 PM ^
Michigan does not have much of a shot with any 5 Star receivers this year. Diggs is the only one I can think of that even mentioned Michigan and he is an extreme long shot.
December 21st, 2011 at 7:45 PM ^
i bet diggs would goto ohio. urban is probably tellin diggs he's the next percy.
December 22nd, 2011 at 9:20 PM ^
Don't know why someone negged you for this comment. Every time I think of Diggs, Harvin is the player that comes to mind for me, in the way that I expect him to be utilized. Of course, I could be wrong as well . . . .
December 21st, 2011 at 2:33 PM ^
I really want this class to fill out so we can work on 2013 hard. I really like having a Texas approach to recruiting.
December 21st, 2011 at 2:50 PM ^
December 21st, 2011 at 3:19 PM ^
I never put "too much" into the ratings services. If our coaches think he can play at Michigan, the ratings are irrelevant.
But....looking at them: 3 star??, 6' 3" -- 4.5, great hands, great route runner..... what else is there?
December 21st, 2011 at 3:23 PM ^
Sure, he's big, fast and can really go up and pluck it, but other than that, he's just "okay."
December 21st, 2011 at 3:31 PM ^
and he has a lot of frame to add size to.
December 21st, 2011 at 4:11 PM ^
I'm so glad the three star mafia is gone or has packed their bags.
December 21st, 2011 at 5:05 PM ^
Jehu now in the fold how many more spots do we have for recruits?
December 21st, 2011 at 5:17 PM ^
A faster Shawn Conway (character aside)?
December 21st, 2011 at 5:32 PM ^
I thought he was going to attend a JUCO. We don't take 'em do we? Unless he earns a degree?
Latest?
December 21st, 2011 at 6:10 PM ^
kind of dissapointed as it looks like at this point we won't get payton, but darboh and chesson are both great additions. now let's just concentrate on getting garnett to commit, make a monster-esque kalis/magnuson/garnett o-line.
