Hello: Aymeric Koumba
The French edge prospect has a 7-foot 1-inch wingspan.
Oops. Link issues. Here is the tweet from Lorenz that should get you there: https://twitter.com/TremendousUM/status/1548042599025369089?s=20&t=0Ai9Sw0T1VC-ZbSAJn1elg
Elston doing work out here
Guy is 6'4, will be playing football at Michigan, and will be speaking French...the guy is going to clean house. I personally would have went to ASU if I were him but still...
Welcome! Can you add some more info in the OP? Year, ranking, location?
2023 6’ 4” edge prospect out of France
The objective analysis is he has a pretty good frame. Not really many impressive offers. Mostly group of five and Vanderbilt. Could be under scouted.
Not a ranked prospect at the moment.
6'4 with a 7'1 wingspan!
I found an artist's rendition.
At least he wont need a selfie stick for a team picture.
Great news - this kid is like a lottery ticket with good odds to pay off!
I noticed a Vandy offer - normally that is nothing to write home about but since they hired Barton Simmons as the "General Manager" of Vandy, that means something to me.
Barton was one of the top guys at 247 and Vandy brought him in to play some moneyball.
I'm seeing a pattern with Harbaugh offering kids with Ivy League, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, etc., offers as well.
*Yeah, never talk about Neg Club, but that was complimentary. It says something about Harbaugh and academics.
Surely you are referring to the transformational experience. All kidding aside I love what they’re doing in recruiting. We’ll miss out on nearly all the highly rated kids because they’re getting guaranteed money, but we’re still pounding the pavement and sailing the seas for the under recruited gents. Maybe only a couple hit, but I’ll take a David Ojabo every year or two.
They have the potential to finish in top 15 if a few things go their way even with NIL conundrum. That would be quite an accomplishment.
That’s a lot of wingspan
think how high he could lift Denard.
My conclusion from our recent commits is that Mike Elston hates America
France makes, America (Elston) takes.
I hope we use him for a Statue of Liberty play, just once.
Boycott french fries. And maybe French’s mustard.
Don't forget French toast and French bread.
French kissing is still okay.
Or maybe America hates Elston.
But he loves Aymeric-a
Or Mike Elston had been told to find “free” athletic freaks. I love how we recruit the DE/Edge position, LFG!!!
OUI!!! Bonjour!!
Sacre bleu! That’s a big wingspan!!!
High ceiling project, I would assume. It’s worked for us before. Congrats to the young man!
Interesting... Elston is doing a lot of good work on the trail.
Kinda reminds me of Moe's recruitment with Beilein.
Hopefully, it turns out as fruitful as Wanger's recruitment was.
Not sure how to feel about all this....
He probably was told that by Johnson.....Then he saw a recording of the game.
O -ja- bo!!
Koumba changed his mind after he watched our edges set up shop in OSU's backfield.
If I’m not mistaken the game ended with a 42 - 27 score in favor of UM? Go Blue!
I feel like he watched the game looking to see who dominated on the DL and picked the best school.
He’s Hutch but long arms!
Welcome. Wishing you many years of bullying our petit frere in EL.
A fellow 6'4 7ft wingspan guy. Hopefully he has some speed because these poles attached to my shoulders slow my ass down.
I hate you, I’m 6’5.5 with a 6’ wingspan. If I had normal arms I woulda been dunking in HS dammit! also makes deadlifting miserable. Damn trex arms.
I'm 6' with a 6' wingspan. I would rather be in your shoes.
The overseas trips are paying off!
Welcome, Aymeric
6'4 with a 7'1 wingspan! YES!! WELCOME!!!
How do we say Fuck Ohio in French?
Should be the first words he learns in English.
Putain de l'Ohio
Koumba YAH!!!
Definitely the kind of prospect the program earns the benefit of the doubt in taking.
L'enfer Oui!!
Welcome to Transformational U, Aymeric. You have many outstanding teammates and coaches with which to ride the wave.
We're living on the edge lately. Wee wee! Welcome to Aymerica. He's gonna be a beast.
