You need guys on your staff who can recruit. Urban has a few of these guys. Heck, Saban had Bobby Williams on his staff. Kentucky had a good offense this year so I assume that Marrow played a part of this so I assume he's not dead weight in the coaching department but I don't watch every Kentucky game.

Marrow seems to have NFL coaching experience in the past and I assume could develop.. But to be honest, Michigan is going to need a recruiting coordinator and Marrow fits the bill completely... His targets are off the wall and many TE prospects seem to like him (CJ Conrad)... I believe this would be a good deal either way...

The whole point of hiring Harbaugh is because he is great at developing players such as Oliver Luck.

Losing makes you insane. During the coaching search with every name that was brought up, people on this board would rehash the ESPN crap that Michigan was no longer an elite job. That's why we had names pop up like Dave Aranda, Tom Herman, and Pat Narduzzi for the job.

At this point I'd wager QB: Harbaugh OC/OL: Drevno DC/LB: Mattison DC: Durkin WR: Morton TE: Marrow RB: Wheatley DL: ? LB: Manning? DB: ? strength: ? Out of these, I think Wheatley is the only one unlikely at this point but Brian thinks we have a shot after the Buffalo fiasco.

I saw this before his name was even brought up. It's a story on aseaofblue.com sayng how much of a negative impact Harbaugh could have on Kentucky recruiting. If we take Marrow, it will really hurt them.

Friendship can be a very powerful motivator. But there's always a chance that Marrow recognizes that Stoops <does not equal> The Harbaugh- plus money talks.

and KY remains a Basketball school. Just ask Hal Mumme, he thought he had something going with his Air Raid system and Tim Couch. Of course it came at a price. Turns out football bagmen in KY aren't as experienced about keeping things on the down low as their basketball brethren.

If we were to get Marrow I wonder how much, if at all, it would affect our chances of convincing Damien Harris to get back in the fold. He seems to have heavy interest in UK and you'd have to believe that has something to do with Marrow. Seeing as though the consensus is that Marrow's a stud recruiter...
