At camp Hankins was gassed - literally chest heaving - after three reps. Three. Stumbled away after the third rep. He looked great first rep, okay second, bad third. Coaches weren't sure about his commitment to conditioning so said hey we'd like to watch you a bit during your senior season prior offering. Rivals (Hemboldt I think) reported later that Hankins was nursing an injury (rib?) at said camp that he oddly didn't disclose. He didn't have any "big" offers at this point. They monitored him during the season, he looked better, and they offered. As I mentioned before, his coach was NOT having it. Told his parents that UM was full of it, etc. OSU offered later and he steered him right to them. That's it in a nutshell. |

...recall correctly. Coach couldn't stand UM. He was the little devil on Johnathan's shoulder telling him how UM didn't think he was worthy of an offer and if so they would have extended one long ago. Same high school as Fred Smith. Not a "miss" when you never had a chance. |

Clean break. Scaphoid bone. Said to be in an area that gets good blood supply, as opposed to scaphoid fractures that do not. Screw inserted. Surgery went great; father, son, and coach are all upbeat (father posts on the UNC messageboard I am a member of). He lists himself as day to day, but it is VERY unlikely that he would play against Ohio (similar to what Henson did vs FSU). They are scheduled to perform range of motion tests in St. Louis (probably Friday), and from that point, he will report to Coach Williams how he feels. They'll sit down with the doctors (assuming they cleared him to play) and the Coach and decide what to do, assuming Kendall's pain tolerance is such that he would like to give it a go. All in all, right now everything post-surgery has gone as well as it possibly could have. They can defeat Ohio sans Marshall (unfortunately, Dexter Strickland - back up PG - blew out his knee earlier this year, and Leslie McDonald - who would have been the first SG off of the bench - blew out his knee this past summer). Stilman White/Justin Watts will be the primary ballhandlers. |

Won't get on fire with Bullock guarding him. |

Didn't one of the recruiting gurus (Scout?) reference him as a "younger, faster Adolphus Washington?" And I believe one of Sparty's scouts called him a cross between Tony Gholston and Lawrence Thomas? |
| 11 weeks 6 days ago | Wrt Molk I disagree. |
Michigan's overall record the last 4 years vs Ohio should not preclude him from offering his opinion of how he personally stacks up against other centers in the league, talent-wise (how he phrased it? Another matter entirely). If he was caught saying Ohio sucks etc then yes, the first retort could - and probably should - be well hey, they had quite the streak vs Michigan. Yet, iirc, he simply disagreed with other evaluations of his stock at center in the NFL vs other Big 10 centers. |

"He'll definitely be in attendance for the Michigan spring game, where he admitted there's at least a slight possibility he could commit if the trip feels just right." Not sure how anyone can read the article and not emerge feeling upbeat, "recruiting is fluid" caveat notwithstanding. Edit: doh, beaten to the punch. |

"The Levenberry family is looking for a paternal figure to guide their son's career. They've found it in Ann Arbor." Simple. |
