LoHi. I bought when the neighborhood was a bit sketchy and now it's Hipsterville.

My agent suggested I offer it a bit low, $5,000 less than comps, and a bidding war would take place. It did. I got 4 bids the day after being listed. The second highest bid had cash (yeah, cash, I couldn't believe it) so I countered to the highest bid price. They took it.

Gonna take the kids fishing in the a.m. and hopefully take in my club's rugby match in the afternoon. The Saturday conflict of rugby and M football has been a pain for a lot of years. Fortunately and unfortunately, the demise of b-side matches in D2 and D3 rugby in MI makes it easier to miss the rugby.

Part of it is to drive interest and get eyeballs on that game. I do think Ole Miss could give Alabama a game if the Tide look past this game. Their offense has been ok but the o line is a little suspect. It is is Tuscaloosa though so Ole Miss will have to play lights out while the Tide give a B effort.

Yeah this thread is much better than the garbage that was occuring earlier in the week.  I just don't get why we can't all get along and discuss football, in a civil manner and when in disagreement (even as severe as it may be at times).  Whahhh me, I know.  Go Blue.  Go Friday.  Go Weekend.  Go Beer.

How funny is it going to be after we don't play this weekend we rise in the rankings, after two weeks of winning and falling.

Your M baseball preview: they probably won't be very good.  I haven't seen a game in 3 years, so I'm basing this very loosely on last year's performance.  That said, I think they make it to Omaha this year.  Omaha being the B1G tourney.  Not the CWS.

I saw that WLA was back, so I had to see what the bourgeois agenda is with the occult masks.

Normally I loathe bye weeks, but the team needs it this weekend. Good timing right before conference play and after two near losses.

Today marks the halfway point of my 8 week paternal leave and I'm spending it in my pajamas (as usual) with my wife, dog and 4 week old little girl. For once in my life, this U of M fanatic and longtime MGoBlogger could care less about silly squabbles on the blog and concerns about the football team. Happy Friday / bye week everyone! P.S. - Anyone know if there's any benefit (to the parents and/or the kid) of signing up a child so young for the "Kid's Go Blue Club"?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parental_leave

The US is increasingly unusual among developed countries for providing so little time off for both mothers and fathers. Not only do most developed countries require several weeks of paid time off, many of the world's best economies also allow a year or more of unpaid leave for either parent.

Put in 50 hours already this week. Finally off today and tomorrow. Bonfire tonight. My Dad and I always go to Michigan games but since there is a bye we are changing it up and hitting the WMU game. Western better win so I can preserve my perfect record at night games. (UTL 1 & 2 and the Tigers game last Friday where I got to see Max's 20th win)

My office is closing early today for a team outing to Arlington Racetrack, a horse track outside of Chicago. So, basically I'm getting paid to leave the office early and go drink and gamble. Can't beat that!

Have a great weekend all!

Much as I'd love to comply with your title, EECS 281 projects are both ugly and argumentative, and I'll be talking about it all weekend.  With my computer.  Which hates me.

Nothing new for me this weekend.  Just more studying for upcoming exams.  Happy it's Friday, though!

Interested to see Ohio State take on Wisconsin and Iowa play Minnesota.

Just received word from the Athletic Department that their estimated show rate for all of Crisler last year was 80%, which means that the non-student show rate would be 89%, which is obviously way too high, which means they were (as suspected) lying about the show rates, which means I can now go about my day in peace with the mystery solved.

No argumentative responses please, as this is a no-argument thread.

I recently finished a piece on my WD experience and thought the board might be interested in it. It is a bit lengthy and nowhere as good as the original, but some might find it mildly amusing on a Friday during bye week. Thoughts?
