Akron was the previous week.  And that whole time period was just batshit crazy.  We went from looking like world beaters against Notre Dame (I was literally so happy after that game that I couldn't sleep) to watching a tire fire Akron team complete bomb after bomb after bomb against our defense.

I've never experienced a shift as quick as that in my entire fandom.  In a matter of one week, going from jubilation and excitement about the season to complete paranoia and dreading games down the road.

If I were Nebraska I'd gut it out until the end of the regular season and then fire him.  I'm not a fan of having an interim guy "audition for the job."  Frequently the team temporarily rallies behind the interim coach, since the players fear change, and then the AD ends up hiring a guy he'd never have considered in a normal search.  (ND may be in this situation with Marcus Freeman.)

I'd just wait to the end of November, rip the bandaid off, and conduct a legitimate search.

I feel bad for Nebraska fans right now.  It's not funny anymore that they are this snakebitten.  They aren't an elite team anymore but they should be better than what they have been.

I'm fine with Frost dealing with the losses, though.
