Agree, the PSU goalie really kept them in the game. I thought if they could get one, the second may come a little easier.
He was ... but we also hit four posts in the first two periods. We score on two of those four, and nobody's talking about him.
I mean no disrespect -- he was extremely solid. But also a little lucky.
That’s why this win was so great. Didn’t catch breaks, but they kept grinding and playing their game, trusting that it would pay off. And, yeah — it paid off!!!!!!

the PSU goalie kept them in this game to the point they almost stole it. He played the game of his life.

i thought he played well, but not great. he basically got beat at least 7 times, but got lucky on 5 of them. good goalie, don't get me wrong, but also tonight he was the luckiest goalie on planet earth.
Unless you saw the game, you have no idea how amazing that Portillo played by just comparing the stats. There were an incredible number of point blank shots by Penn State that he stopped. It seemed that Penn State was on fire for most of the game. He was incredible and invincible. That his teammates ended the game so quickly into the overtime period was a very deserving end to this game. The PSU goalie was also terrific but certainly not quite up to Portillo's effort.

As noted elsewhere, his steely confidence sent chills up and down my spine. Only a freshman and he is a leader and best. Best 52 second overtime ever.
