Friday what are you drinking?
My variety pack included:
Bell's Oberon, 2 Hearted Ale, & Midwestern Pale Ale
Fat Tire & Rolle Bolle
Tap Room No.21 Pale Ale, Amber Ale, & Copper Honey Lager
Founder's Dirty Bastard
New Castle Brown Ale
And 2 Redbridge for my wife.
The steaks look great. I'll let you know how the beers are as I go.
Thanks. I'm taking it in Michigan. I've done the whole barbri program and then some, so I'm reasonably confident, but I'd still be feeling a lot better if I were taking it before last year's grading change.
for me the summer of the bar exam. made up for it later though.
if you get to the point that you know the multi-state question and the answers when you're only half way throught the question, then you'll know you are ready. i played the fight song before each of the 3 days of my bar exam, imaging what it was like as we would come out on the ice and the band would be playing and the giant "M" flags would be waving. i was totally fired up for the test, and you will be too!
I also really like their Iniquity
Yuengling.
It's a damn shame it isn't available in MI. Major setback for my collegiate years. Not really.
I'm not drinking anything tonight but water. However, I did enjoy some great beers the past week or so. Beers enjoyed lately include: RR Pliny the Elder, RR Supplication, Ballast Point Sculpin, Boulevard Nommo Dubbel, Boulevard Sixth Glass Quad, and Boulevard Rye-on-Rye.
The Rye on Rye is an incredible beer. I skipped the Boulevard takeover for the Brooklyn takeover tonight specifically because they did not have the Rye on Rye.
Famous Grouse Gold Reserve
From my good old home town cider mill, Uncle John's. Now if I only had some donuts to go with it...
....a much improved twist on a Jack & Ginger
Have not been able to get my hands on the w00t. Let me know how it is.
It sounds great. I live in RTP (hence the handle) and so far haven't seen it. I'm a regular at the craft brew establishments here and it doesn't seem to have hit the shelves - I'm on the allocation lists so if it were here I'd get it. Enjoying a Stone espresso imperial stout ($6.99) at the moment and slumming on mgoblog.
I've probably said this several times but if you can get the White Oak by the Bruery it is a must have. Enjoy it on a hot day. Uber refreshing, fresh ale with a bourbon barrel touch. Most similar thing I can think that compares to it is Allagash's Curieaux, which is excellent, but White Oak is a meta beer.
Brooklyn tap takeover at Sam's in Durham - had the Silver Anniversary, Local 1, Local 2, Blast! and the Sorachi Ace. Went over to Dos Perros for a Backwoods Bastard and an Victory Oak Horizontal. Its good to be the king.
Not a fan of lagers in general, but the Silver was tops of all of those until I got to the Backwoods Bastard.
Why? Its rarely worth the pain.
Dogfish Head 75 Minute this eve
Southern Pecan
Vanilla Smirnoff and OJ. Tastes like creamsicles.
Then I'm moving on to attack the rack of shitty beer in my fridge. After a week of dropping $20 literally every night at AA establishments, it's time to let my wallet recover (fuck the liver though).
that's what happens when you go to the home of some very nice people for a graduation party, when the dad happens to be a baptist preacher. oh well, tomorrow night.
Don't be jealous.
Oh, by the way...
Devin is gonna shock everyone's expectations.
Wow...10 wins
Hey...hi, to the no. 3 recruiting class!
Being dragged to a country concert tonight with work at 5am tomorrow morning. A better question is "what aren't you drinking?"
