There are shockingly few…

There are shockingly few Buffalo Wild Wings in Pittsburgh (sadly) but most sports bars here should have BTN. Pittsburgh is squarely in the Big Ten footprint and Penn State has a night game. I'd expect you to find it at any bar in the North Shore -- where Heinz Field is and I assume you'll be.

Sign me up

Sign me up for that diasspointment of him leaving early a few years down the road!

Praise be.

Praise be.

Site will be down

What percatage of the time between Solomon at 9:45 and Nico Collins at 2:30 will this website be fully functional? Has to be less than 50%. Maybe less than 30%.

Why does that matter?

Do you pay to use CNN.com or ESPN.com or Twitter.com? I don't and I still get mad when they don't work for me. Brian is making money off of the ads that you see, the same as those sites. Not caring more about the performance of his site is akin to you neglecting a very important aspect of your job.

Same

After watching this I wonder how many pass attempts his high school team had last year. If it was over 5-10 for the entire season the coach should be fired. Unless Najee was throwing the passes.

No problem there

He should be used to that with Dave Brandon coming in to watch film all the time and probably diagramming plays weekly for Al to run. Perhaps Kelly will view his ability to have his shoulder looked over as a positive in the interview.

Kelly: Al, do you have any experience with others telling you how to do your job better? Potentially even by those who don't know what's going on?

Al: Tons.

Kelly: This is great to hear. Can we have someone show you around South Bend after we finish up here?

Good?

Is that good?

Looking back

Shane,

I'll always remember how excited you were to commit and how hard you worked as a recruiter. I'll also remember the concussion you received against Minnesota that ended up getting Dave Brandon fired. I can't thank you enough for the latter. Sorry you had to pay a physical price for that, but we all appreciate it!

No

I think they made the right decision to kick the extra point based purely on how badly OSU's kicker had been. If he was going to be forced to tie or win the game I would have been more comfortable taking that risk than trying to get the converstion.

PSU

I had this exact arguement today from a PSU fan. I claimed that the two best teams in the East weren't going to Indy and he was adament that PSU was the best in the East. I know they beat PSU but frankly if that game were played 100 times, Penn State would be lucky to win more than 5 or 10 times. Also, in the Michigan game the PSU side claimed that they were missing so many linebackers that it wasn't a fair fight. No quantity or quality of linebacker would have closed the 39 point gap in the PSU/M game.

As for the CFP, I think out of all of the scenerios, if PSU wins (unless it's a blowout) the decision whether or not to put them in is going to be the toughest and most controversial. Based on the eye test, the do not belong. They would certainly be 4 if that got in and Alabama would hand them a worse loss than they did against MSU last year.

Loud

It's so loud there. When Jim got the unsportsmanlike 15 yard penalty that place was going insane. Maybe even louder than the winning play. Overall, people were ok to me but I definitely made a point to be respectful as well so that could have played into it.

Field rushing

I definitely like fied/court rushing in sports but more specifically in upset games. For instance when Indiana Fort Wayne won last week. Having said that the risks of it are obvious and in my opinion growing. It might be time to make a more serious attempt at stopping it entirely.

ERECT

I am rock hard, boys. Rock. Hard.

The South

I hate the south. All of this is their fault. Lincoln was spot on, and from Big Ten country I might add.

Hang in there

Come on guys

Plus Brady

El Pres AND Tom Brady? That could become an event all it's own.

You bastard...

You bastard...

TIL

Harvard has three commits in the ESPN 100. Good for them.

Cass Tech

Certainly maintaining the Cass Tech pipeline is important. Could anyone give me/the board a run down of the big targets at Cass Tech for 2017? Better class of seniors than normal?

Cool

This seems so cool. Harbaugh is extremely innovative in this space. Great to see.

Good luck

Not surprised but good luck to him.

Congrats

Good for him.

Oh man

Reap what you sow I guess.

In other news, Chip Kelly has all the characteristics that got Jim Harbaugh fired...only Jim had proven he could win at the NFL level. Seems like a bad move.

Trade

I'd make that trade on our end for Raulerson.

Get the ruler

This has all the makings of a dick measuring contest.

Come on

So you have never once glanced at your cell phone or checked MGoBlog while at the office? You show up at 8 and your eyes don't leave your computer screen until 5? Because that's 100% attention.

?

What if he goes to Ohio State? I won't root for him then.

17-9 Michigan

17-9 Michigan

Why?

To constantly remind us of this game? No thanks.

Ranking

This is not a shot at Richardson, every indication is he's done nothing but work hard since being here, but how was he ranked so highly coming out of high school? Given his size, there was a no way he could have played competitively at a Power 5 school. He was our top recruit the year he commited, IIRC.

SS

Off the top of my head:

1. Honus Wagner

2. Cal Ripken Jr.

No

You missed the memo, these types of posts were ceased around the end of December.

Score

30-29 Michigan

Herb

Speaking of such, what happened to Herb?

That's ok

Students would probably prefer that to the nose bleeds and then non-student fans that sit there currently might not be as bitter about being moved. I don't think the students would be upset about gaining those sections as a part of Maize Rage.

Parker

I heard it was Parker...so essentially you nailed it.

Response

My downvote simply reflects my displeasure with this article from 2012 being posted and labeling it BHM. We shouldn't need it to be February to cleberate African American greatness at our university. I very much respect Willis Ward and remember seeing this article when it was published. Also, I'm not sure what my occupation has to do with anything nor why my vote has sparked an attempt at a public shaming.

totally agree

I'm in complete agreement. I initially have no issue with this, but let us all remember this when an SEC team or Ohio State hires the guardian of a future 5-star recruit. I have a sneaking suspicion that we would be crying bloody murder if Ohio State did this to a recruit both us and them were in on - even if the person is qualified, which I have no reason to believe this woman is not.

Me

i would enjoy OSU at night. Atleast a test run.

OK

OK, so he's incorrect for implying that 2 students averaged $25k in a damage a piece. You're attacking semantics. I don't think anyone believes that 2 people did all of this.

If you and 117 other decided to lock arms and one of you held up the picture from Tiananmen Square then sure, maybe you would have had a shot. You need to put yourself in their position - it's just not realistic to think that you would be the singular hero to step up and save the day. Don't you think that atleast one of the 118 (in your example) people there thought to themselves "this is a terrible idea, we're going to wake up tomorrow and completely regret this"? There's a reason they couldn't stop it - it wasn't reasonable. Don't blame the group for the actions of a select few.

Dude

Serve a purpose.

Actually...

maybe.

What?!

Do you live in the real world? "Sins of omission are equally as intolerable as sins of commission." Are you kidding me? Have you ever been in a social situation with more than 10 people in your life? I'm not saying join in, by any means, but personally stopping a brigade of people who have their minds made up? The President of the United States can't do that. I guarantee there were people there who thought you themselves "this is a terrible idea" and they didn't have a prayer of stopping it.

Stop living in a fantasy land.

Fuck off

Go back to your shitty life.

Yes.

Yes.

Well

Well then, that's amazing. You're probably a better human being that everyone else that ever was in one, huh? I probably belong in jail since I pledged, even though I never did anything like this. Can someone drive me to the police department to turn myself in so I don't need to leave my car?

Jail?

Jail? Really? You probably think people holding an exorbitant amount of weed going to jail is outrageous and you're calling for jail time here? Adjust your scope.

You seem like

You seem like the type of guy that would raise his hand in high school to tell the teacher that someone else was reading a magazine covered by their textbook.
