So, now that the postseason wrench in the gears is out of the question, can we root for the Niners now? I'm not from SF, but it's felt weird rooting against Jimmy this whole time. Either way, GO LIONS, GO WINGS!

Wow, this one is earlier than normal, but definitely not as early as the posbang a few months ago that was created 40 minutes after midnight on Friday.

All the worst of the year-end craziness is now behind me and I look forward to a half-day today and then two striaght five day weekends for the holiday weeks. I don't really anticipate much happening, and indeed, it is in time for the parade of Bad Bowls and Games That Should Never Have Happened, or at least that's how I've come to know it in recent years.

Of course, it also means being dragged to various houses for holiday festivities. In essence, by the time Christmas comes, I've celebrated it 3-4 times and need it to be done because I am usually struggling to find space for all the new shit in this small-ish 1960s ranch. 

Happy banging today indeed.
