While this season may not be what we hoped for, remember that, tomorrow, we get to watch our favorite football team take their home field for the last time until for about 9 months. Enjoy the day and beat the Terps!
Go Blue! Celebrate the seniors!

makes me sad...
Time goes too fast. I want to watch Trey again, in a Michigan jersey! Those guys really were special!
As more time passes I think it will become more apparent that those guys were a truly special group of recruits. More personal skill and focus than a system of Beilein's offense. Well I dont know if thats true...Not to say that Beilein's system isn't FREAKING AMAZING, but that group had the perfect chemistry. Don't get me wrong, those guys were totally developed by Beilein, but between the ears, those guys had it.
More Michigan BBALLLLLL!!! I love Beilein! Develop Chatman, Wilson, Dawkins, Doyle, MAAR, and Donnall and lets see if he could do it again!

Nik, McGary, GR3, and LeVert will be a tough class to ever best. That's 3 first rounders and a 2nd (and if GR3 had returned for 1 more year I think he would have been a 20-30th type of pick). And the 2 lower rated guys in that class have turned into the superstars.
Just such quick turnover in bball now - the entire starting lineup for the April 2012 NC game was gone by May 2014.

He was also part of that class along w/Nik, Mitch, Glenn, and Caris -- some dubbed them the "Fresh Five" w/ a nod toward the Fab Five. Even Spike, the supposed afterthought in that class, will turn out to be a damn solid four-year contributor in a four-year stretch that already can boast multiple Big 10 titles, an Elite Eight appearance, and a Final Four/national championship runner-up -- and he's still got two years to go. Hell, the kid almost won the title game against Louisville singlehandedly!

I can definitely say I made it to Friday despite everyone in my house either developing or recovering from some form of cold / cough / crud at the moment. Yesterday was congestion day, but today is exquisite sore throat day. All the same, it is Friday and I am looking forward to a weekend of football, although I might spend a majority of it semi-conscious on a sofa at this point.
I am supposed to cook a pre-Thanksigiving Thanksgiving meal on Sunday for a few people - I am sure that if I roast myself with the turkey, I can cook the germs away and mitigate the risk of giving this to everyone over a nice dinner, right?

snow that is. Need to get my backyard hockey rink set-up and the 24" of pre-Thanksgiving snow are killing me.

Spent three days in a strategy workshop with a client this week - ironically, I missed most of the snow even though I was in mid-Michigan. I got back home to the Milford (MI) area last evening and drove the last 15 miles at a crawl.
But at least the sun is shining today! Happy Friday!

A few years back, I moved back to A2 after living in Tempe for 5 years. As much as I miss the perfect winters there, I'd much rather deal with this nonsense than those inhumane summers. It's lot easier (and more socially acceptable) to wear a dozen layers than having the incredible urge to strip bare-ass naked and tape bags of ice all over my body.

I love that our basketball team is good. Quite a test last night, but no team blows out every opponent.
Also...beer.

I get the feeling this offseason will be anything but drudgery. I think we're going to find ourselves on popcorn alert more often than not. Personally I'm looking forward to another round of Flighttracker........

The Mrs. is out of town for a conference, so my two year old and I (and our dog) have had a big sausage fest the past few days. It's been nice to spend time with the little guy, but I could use a bangin'.
