Fight On! Go USC

Let's go Trojans.  Don't want soft ass OSU backing into the playoff.  Tough to beat a team twice in a season, not to mention they don't deserve the playoff after losing at home by 3 TDs

I already have the television set to the appropriate channel. I have several USC alums in the extended family (the portion that has settled in the US anyway), so they are likely tuned in already as well.

Yeah, almost always I would root for the Utes over USC but I’d rather OSU not back their way into the playoffs.

On the other hand, if they do, perhaps Georgia could perform a(nother) curb-stomping.

Looking at this as a win-win:  If Utah wins we get SC tears, if SC wins, no Buckeyes in the playoffs*.  There is no bad result here.

* (unless TCU loses by some completely ridiculous margin.  In which case, lol them.)

Feels weird to go from rooting against them for several weeks to strongly rooting for them.  I always thought we had a good shot in The Game but I wanted to keep all of our options open.

Lets go USC!

Rooting for USC. Makes me sick to my stomach thinking you have the top four playing in championship games, putting more wear and tear on their bodies while you have the Buckeyes and Bama sitting in their lounge chairs resting and getting healthy with hopes of backing into the play-offs.

My perspective: I'm rooting for OSU to miss the playoffs. If that means USC has to win, so be it. If that means USC loses and bagmen pay off Boo Corrigan and crew to jump Bama over them, I'll take it.

Why is it that Lincoln Riley can't put together an above average defense? I get that they don't really need one to win the Pac12, but man they could be scary good if they could match that offense with a good defense.

Pretty common for teams with high flying offenses to be sub par defensively.  My hypothesis is that is a result of that defense having to practice against that offense which 1) means the defense doesn't rep much against a power offense 2) that defense probably gets smoked a lot in practice so they are low in confidence.

Unpopular opinion but I prefer not rooting for USC as they are entering the big ten soon and generally are privileged students already. We have a distinct mental advantage over OSU and no doubt in my mind Georgia would smoke OSU. USC has a big long term gain if they get into the playoff or even win the CFP. Don’t feel weak and be afraid of OSU “backing” into the CFP…they are not mentally ready to win

This is just the sort of game where USC would demolish Utah if it were us trying to back into the playoffs but since it's OSU you can just feel the choke job coming.

I dislike USC.  Still remember the last 2 losses (Peter Caroll era).

I'd rather the Utes win.  Besides USC winning is not good for us.  They may become a Juggernaut and we will have to play them constantly in the Big10.
