And a pick-6 ...
My buddy from Virginia, who's down in the Swamp right now, has gone very quiet on Facebook. I'm guessing he's not enjoying his trip so much any more.

If FSU wins;
1: Miss State
2: FSU
3: Miss
4: Bama
5: Georgia
4/5 from the SEC.
If ND wins:
1: Miss State
2: Miss
3: ND
4: Bama
5: Georgia.
4/5 from the SEC.
Bama beats a horrible A&M team, and Georgia beats a horrible Arkansas team and they both jump Staaeee. Gotta love the ESPN media SEC Hype. BTN should take notice.

You can keep disrespecting State but poll voters will just keep moving them up via intertia. I dont see Georgia hopping them. They beat a 3-4 Arkansas team, MSU beat a nobody Indiana just the same.
To my eye TCU is better than MSU but since they are behind MSU it will take a bigger win that #15 OK State to jump them. It's difficult to jump someone unless you beat a top 10 team. It also doesnt make sense Oregon is behind MSU but that's the current situation and its going to take something serious to shake it up. The OSU v MSU game is looking like a playoff play in game right now since TCU still has Baylor and Oklahoma. Big 12 will eat each other up while Big 10 top teams basically have a series of byes before playing anyone good. And Baylor's non conf is so bad they could not afford to lose once.
It's going to be
- Miss State
- Winner of ND/FSU (will get some #1 votes)
- Ole Miss
- Auburn or Ala
- Ala or Auburn
- MSU
- Oregon
- Georgia
- TCU
- OSU
- FSU or ND loser (maybe this is #9 or #10 but they will drop)
- KSU
It's about when you lose too...losing early is always better.

Oregon lost to undefeated Arizona at home and fell to 13 from #2. Why it is not feasible FSU falls to #9? They wont be ahead of Auburn, Alabama, MSU or Oregon. I have them at #8 best case scenario.
October 18th, 2014 at 10:15 PM ^
TCU already played Oklahoma (won) and Baylor (lost). The only tough game they have left is Kansas St i believe.

State rampages through the Big Ten . . . and watches the CFB playoffs on TV like the rest of us.
I can live with that.

Their offense has been a dumpster fire but I'd gladly take him as a DC.
October 18th, 2014 at 9:45 PM ^
Down 42-0 to Mizzou at home. The Tigers have 97 yards of offense and yet they have scored five TDs, only one via traditional offense:
- kickoff return
- 5-yard run
- punt return
- fumble return
- interception return

This ND/FSU game is making me sad. I really hope we don't have to do 20 years through the college football wilderness a la Notre Dame.

That's a very open question. Tell me one player aside from Jake Butt on offense who is a difference maker with Funchess to the pros in 2015. And please dont tell me Ty Isaac who has not played 1 snap for UM and was 4th string at USC. Or Freddy Canteen who has all of 5 catches this year.
I concede MAYBE we have a whole team of Josh Furmans who are being completely obliterated by bad scheme and bad position coaching but I doubt the whole team is being oppressed like that. Maybe a few guys. More talent than RR inherited? Yes. A great team hidden by bad coaching? I dont think so. You are going to take Wilton Speight or Shane Morris into Utah to open next year, then host BYU and so it goes. All with new coaches, new systems, new everything.
Right now I see Butt, Lewis, and Henry as potential 2015 stars. Surrounded by a lot of good to average players. That's not a great team. It might not be a good one either. Even with Jim Harbaugh leading it. This is a multi year rebuild (2-3 years) in my mind.

There are at least 4 NFL possible OL on Michigan's roster right now....maybe 5 or 6. They just need to be coached.

If we look the same next week against MSU as Florida does against Missouri and Hoke still isn't fired, can we please riot?
This is just unlike anything I've ever seen.
October 18th, 2014 at 9:54 PM ^
Save your couch...it's comfy.
Seriously, we'd have to go undefeated for the rest of the year and have someone beat MSU or OSU....AND have the the 1 loss beat the 0 loss team so when we beat them we get the tiebreaker of the 2-loss teams.
Then win the B1G Championship game and the bowl game.
You think that's going to happen. If Hoke goes 10-4 with a B1G Championship and Captial One Bowl win...shit, he can keep his job.
October 18th, 2014 at 10:02 PM ^
I don't care if he's already technically fired. I don't want the guy in the locker room anymore if that happens. Plus it would be the only thing worth going to the last two games for if I know he's fired for sure.
October 18th, 2014 at 9:56 PM ^
Missouri has 122 total yards! wow!!!!!!!!! lolz
Florida 152 yards and 5 turnovers! You know the Muschamp defenders are out in force saying "we won the total yardage battle and if not for the 5 turnovers..." They have them in every fanbase.
