ESPN2 Reverse Mirror
I asked this originally in the UConn thread but I haven't seen an answer yet. Does the ESPN2 reverse mirror of B1G ABC regional games extend to the prime-time games? I'm stuck in Big12 country so we are getting Texas vs K-State on ABC. I know the noon and 3:30 B1G games automatically go to ESPN2 if they aren't on ABC regional in my area, but does that happen for the prime time matchup as well?

If you go to the ABC7 website, it says that the college football game in the Saturday night time slot is "Teams TBA." The only two games in that time slot that ABC has rights to are Michigan/UConn and KSU/Texas, and there's basically zero chance they would choose to show a game between two crappy Big 12 teams over the Michigan game.
Worst case scenario, there's always ESPN3.

It doesnt look like it right now. It looks like there is a game on from 6:00PM - 9:00PM CST

Guides probably haven't been updated yet bc it was such a last minute decision.

but I don't think ABC games are available live on ESPN3. They're made available as replays; I can't remember how long you have to wait for the game to go up but I see ND/Purdue on the listing now.
September 17th, 2013 at 6:14 AM ^
This is what I had thought too - the ABC games will not be on ESPN3 live, but instead are available the next day as replays or on the BTN2GO site if it involves a Big Ten team. ESPN games can be live provided that you are not in the "blackout area" for the game, or at least this is what I have noticed. Anything relegated to ESPN2 or ESPNU or the Ocho is live and streamable to your heart's content.

If you try to watch the ABC game scheduled for your region, this is true, but if Texas vs K-State is the scheduled game, then you should have no problem watching live on ESPN3.
September 17th, 2013 at 1:11 AM ^
So thanks to the game being moved to prime-time, the game goes from being a defacto national broadcast to a small regional one, since, honestly, who on the national level cares about Michigan-UConn?
Brilliant. Just brilliant.

Hook 'em!

But the Michigan game was scheduled late into that time slot and I suspect a lot of these listings were put together before it became an option. I'm guessing when the coverage map comes out a lot of these outlets now showing Texas/K-State on their schedules will have switched to Michigan/UConn. It doesn't make sense to show Texas over Michigan in northern Ohio, or in Chicago for that matter.

We've got McDonough and Spielman this weekend. MGoBlue publishes game notes every Monday that will tell you the commentating team if you really want to know in advance.
September 17th, 2013 at 8:27 AM ^
what Spielman says about the Michigan defense. Even though he is a Suckeye, I do think he provides good commentary...at least on the defensive side of the ball.

I always thought El Paso was basically murder-death-shithole... I guess you really do learn something new every day.

Guide says TBA . I'm hoping all of these New Yorkers down here pay off with some UCONN ties for me to watch this game. Florida is in AAC area right? I thought one of these directional Florida schools is in that conference?

And here's a classic case of the many mixups to come involving the abbreviations of the American Athletic Conference and the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Stupid AAC.
September 17th, 2013 at 7:21 AM ^
I assume that this just has to do with the schedule beig updated so late that coverage maps have not been updated. Right? Right?
September 17th, 2013 at 7:56 AM ^
I live in NYC, TWC is not showing it anywhere. I cant believe they wont show it in NYC. This sux.
September 17th, 2013 at 7:28 AM ^
I'm not sure if you can update this by region by that's my hope. http://espn.go.com/espntv/onair/index?start=9-21-13-4:00-PM
September 17th, 2013 at 8:23 AM ^
happened to the Longhorn Network showing the Longrun..err Longhorn games? Nobody willing to pay money for watching a crappy team that cannot stop a running play for under 5 yards?
The networks ought to tell Texas SCREW YOU! We are not showing your terrible burnt orange garbage. If people want to watch they can tune into to your lovely station.
September 17th, 2013 at 9:05 AM ^
I'm in PA and my ESPN says the UT game
ESPN2 says teams TBA, but the game is from 7 to 10PM, not 8PM to 11PM. Therefore, I don't think that ESPN2 will mirror the game. You can always use ESPN3 (the online channel) to watch any ESPN game that isn't on your local ESPN.
Unfortunately, ESPN won't come out with the coverage map until Thursday (I think).
September 17th, 2013 at 9:08 AM ^
So ABC/ESPN is going to show a B-12 game on the east coast and in Midwest, rather than a Michigan brand that would draw a potential 3/4 rating that night?
Yep, makes perfect sense doesn't it?!? Why do you think the AAC wanted the late game people? The whole eastern time zone from the mid-atlantic through BIG country most likely get our game, and the everyone else getting the B12 game (or near abouts), with ESPN2 probably mirroring the coverage. You gotta wait till Thursday for everyone to kick it out it their systems.
September 17th, 2013 at 9:14 AM ^
Will there be a stream for the game online? My watch espn ap doesn't even have this game listed. I live in Springfield Il and the abc listing has K-st tex game. I'll be pissed if i miss a game in order to show two crappy big 12 teams.
September 17th, 2013 at 9:51 AM ^
use this site for a stream of the game
September 17th, 2013 at 9:19 AM ^
I'm just guessing now that the guides have not been updated since the decision was made. Even in AA and Storrs, TVGuide.com is showing KSU-UT. I would think it would be updated in the next day or two.

They said they are showing the Michigan game. I would assume this is going to be split East vs West with the Big Ten States in the plains getting the game too. I'm in Florida so you New York people have to have the game and anyone on the east coast as well.
September 17th, 2013 at 9:48 AM ^
I dont know if this is a well known site, but I usually use this to watch Michigan games. It has a link to every college and NFL football game. Just check it out on Satuday or Sunday and it will have links to the games.

Utah @ BYU at 10:15pm

I live in Michigan and on the local news channel they said that since Texas is 0-2 that ABC decided to put Michigan vs UCONN on prime time. Michigan vs UCONN will be nationally televised on ABC at 8:00PM eastern.
