Hello.  I am looking for two!  If anyone had any last minute cancellations.  I will be flying into Austin tonight and driving into Houston Monday.  I have a parking pass already, would be happy to meet up in Houston or however else settle up!

Thanks

Wait...

isn't 'whole milk carton' the permanent answer to this question now?

I think that ESPN's issue is that an on-air talent did not ask for permission to appear at an event that was being... and here's the key... An event that was being broadcasted on a platform that ESPN doesn't own.

If he asks for permission, which he says he did not do, then it's not an issue because ESPN would have cleared it.

Working in TV, albeit on a much smaller scale, I know my employer would NOT be happy if I did work for what is essentially a competitor. Remember ESPN was running recruiting programming. It doesn't matter if he wasn't scheduled to be a part of the coverage, I'm guessing he is contractually obligated to get permission to appear at anything broadcasted by a non ESPN platform.

that while the guessing and imagining is fun, my guess is this isn't a name we wouldn't really be surprised at.

Maybe more like, 'Oh, cool. Glad that rumored guy we've already all considered to be questionable, has jumped on.'

Syracuse is getting a multi-day visit...

http://www.syracuse.com/orangebasketball/index.ssf/2015/05/report_2016_…

Just call me a crystal ball because I have no idea if that means anything.

Sweetin

Actually, Stamos mentioned Sweetin's name as one who'd be back...  he didn't seem to confident about the Olsen twins... but didn't completely dismiss it.

There was a great answer to

There was a great answer to this I saw somewhere...

Once a team is eliminated... Their point total is added up and the highest points get #1 pick.

Teams can't tank. Yet if they are bad, they will have more games to stack up the points than a team that just misses out.

Assume it could work in NBA as well, by counting wins after elimination.

I assume

that's why Boeheim is staying three years.  That'll basically give Hopkins a clean slate. (Honestly I'm not sure the school wants to really change anything.  Hopkins keeps the program on the same track and for SU, basketball is king.)

Syracuse

is appealing.   The school feels the NCAA went overboard with it's additional punishments.

I'm not sure if Boeheim's appeal is official, but the school says it will support him if he chooses to appeal the parts that impact him personally.

Drew Allen transferred from

Drew Allen transferred from Oklahoma to Syracuse and despite good health, lost gig to Terrell Hunt very early on.

I had forgotten how much

that call on Burke pissed me off.... until i just watched it again.  Seriously furious.  I have no idea how players can deal with it.  I don't have the anger management to play sports at that level.  I'd be barking about it years later.

I have one that I bought at

I have one that I bought at MDen the night before the game. I wore it to GameDay the next morning and then to the game that night.

After the game at the tailgates we saw Brady Hoke. He signed it.

So there's that.........

Have you tried....

More Cowbell?

Video is fantastic...

I have a little guy.. and that's exactly what he'd do... it's funny.

Frankly

The question was do you want Harbaugh at Michigan or Oakland.

He only had one possible answer.  Its not like he could say Oakland.  That would be a disaster.  He'd be throwing his own coach under the bus.

Charles certainly knows the game (even outside of his own bubble) but he in no way came across as someone that had the slightest clue what would happen at UM outside of what national media has been saying.

We don't necessarily

need it... but if we could get one of these major highly ranked kids to come, I feel like it would open the flood gates... we're playing like North Carolina and Duke at this point... now the kids need to feel like coming here can be just as good.. and as 'cool' as going there.

I realize I'm in the minority

But I think there should be more bowl games and any schools that can agree on a time or place and get a sponsor, why not?  Other than people's eyes, what does it hurt?  It's not like anyone is forcing anyone to watch.

Bowl games mean nothing to the grand scheme of the college world.  I'm sure the student-athletes would love to play one more game.  I'd certainly watch a Michigan game in December, no matter the record.

Teams that are 5-7 shouldn't be denied practice time that other schools get.  Clearly the 5-7 teams need that work and have younger guys.  This would allow them a few more weeks to see what they have in them.  (Brady Hoke jokes aside).  The arguement that the other teams earned that practice time and a 5-7 did not, does hold water.  BUT... if the 5-7 team plays December 15th... and the 7-5 team plays December 28th... they get extra practice time anyway.

I just don't see what it hurts... kind of like the new CBI tournament in college hoops.

I would. Why not? Especial

I would. Why not? Especial once the list is narrowed. The money factor is absolutely correct in this article.

But man, this whole Michigan community, even beyond the blog, has me worried.

What's going to happen if JH isn't the guy? I think we all, (all doesn't equal 100%) need to step back and understand that there's a reason people use the eggs in a basket saying.

We'd obviously love JH, and he's choice 1... But I hope everyone is leaving space in their hearts for a fall back plan should Jim not be willing or even able to return here.

again

I never once said Dan would attack or go out of his way to do anything... I'm saying I fail to see how going on a national show and once again facing an interview about most things negative.. helps Brady or Michigan.

as the OP

I don't see where I wrote Dan would attack him... never wrote it...never believed he would...

What I'm saying is, the questions will be there and it's a headache that can be avoided... and there's no way Brady is able to sell the good of Michigan football over the bad right now.

I had some people chanting

I had some people chanting asshole as I walked in... No big deal. Everyone was polite inside the stadium and no one sad a word to my group as we left. Of course it seemed like I was leaving Ann Arbor... Way more Michigan gear than Rutgers gear on the way out........ Then remembered why. They were all still on the field.

I think the point was his

I think the point was his calling everyone who supports Michigan as a non athletic department irrelevant. So millions of people don't matter. Okay then

According to a current player the fans are irrelevant.

Yes, I'm sure I'm taking it

Yes, I'm sure I'm taking it to seriously... He's not the first 'athlete' to bash fans and won't be the last... And I'm sure I've rooted for some of them... And I'm sure many more feel that way without actually going public with it.

Sent from MGoBlog HD for iPhone & iPad
I'm going and now I wish I

I'm going and now I wish I wasn't. But not because of the obvious reasons, (losing, AD, Hoke). I was going to keep supporting Team135. But when I woke up and read a current player feel the need to get on Twitter and call life-long fans 'irrelevant'. I can't support that. Whether he was obviously just frustrated or not.

I'm guessing I'm taking this far too seriously... But if someone thinks I and the God Awful amount of money I spend is irrelevant, why should I bother to support him?

I hope that's just one person's opinion and again maybe he's just upset and will apologize or take it back... But there's one player I will not be rooting for Saturday night. Albeit he won't get in the game anyway.

Sent from MGoBlog HD for iPhone & iPad
Yeah, I can hope..

but realistically there's a lot of people setting themselves up for disappointment.

Anything can happen, but when the day comes and UM introduces its next head coach and it's not this guy? It could just get ugly again.

I just think so many people have this name and this name only in their heads and whoever it ends up being, won't get the chance.... because many will have seen it as a failure from day one... not the guy we really wanted.

I'm probably going to be guilty of that as well... as I look at the names, there's only one that I say I'd be willing to pitch in to get...and that's Jim.

I hope there's some secret formula we can all take that will allow us to be happy with the man who actually takes this job...

Easy... Seven Year Ache (Roseanne Cash)

You act like you were just born tonight

Face down in a memory but feeling all right

So who does your past belong to today?

Baby, you don't say nothing when you're feeling this way

The girls in the bars thinking, who is this guy?

But they don't think nothing when they're telling you lies

You look so careless when they're shooting that bull

Don't you know heartaches are heroes when their pockets are full

Tell me you're trying to cure a seven-year ache

See what else your old heart can take

The boys say, when is he gonna give us some room

The girls say, god I hope he comes back soon

Everybody's talking but you don't hear a thing

You're still uptown on your downhill swing

Boulevard's empty, why don't you come around?

Baby, what is so great about sleeping downtown?

Splitting your dice to be someone you're not

You say you're looking for something you might've forgot

Don't bother calling to say you're leaving alone

Cause there's a fool on every corner when you're trying to get home

Just tell 'em you're trying to cure a seven-year ache

See what else your old heart can take

The boys say, when is he gonna give us some room

The girls say, god I hope he comes back soon

Tell me you're trying to cure a seven-year ache

See what else your old heart can take

The boys say, when is he gonna give us some room

The girls say, god I hope he comes back soo

Yeah, I don't get it.

I understand it, frustration and all, but I don't personally, as myself, get it.

I'm a Rams fan in the NFL... So it's been a bad decade for me and football, but it's one of two things I love in this life that doesn't very often happen... I'll leave the other up to imagination.

But a Michigan football game is a Michigan football game.  I don't live that way anymore, so spending money normally doesn't happen anyway, but I simply cannot imagine there ever being a time a Michigan football game is on and I'm not watching it.

I am maybe numb to the losing at this point, with the Rams and UM, but I'm going to be in front of my TV, or the following week in the stands at Rutgers with my UM hat and shirt on and rooting for the Maize and Blue to surprise me.

I can do all of that and very much agree that changes need to be made.  I can support what's there and will just have to hope that someone smartens up and helps me root for a winner.

But those kids picked a school I love and they go out and bust their asses for it.  That to me, says I should support those who love something as much as I do.

That's all

(Also, as much as I felt like Utah was going to beat us, I feel we will beat Minny)

I have no idea what this

adds to the discussion other than compare contrast...

Living in Central New York, I became a Season Ticket Holder for Orange football... no, not because I care a lick about Syracuse, but because the whole season is $99.  Games versus Clemson, Florida State... it's a great deal.  No PSL or anything just a straight $99.

We don't really get gifts... we got a free ticket to the home opener this year for each season tickets we had... but that was Villanova.

We also get priority to buy away games and basketball games.. which is good because Syracuse Basketball is NOT Syracuse Football....(Althought I don't root or really care for etiher, it's a great environment for hoops.)

Also the football games really have no re-sale value... because tickets are so cheap to begin with... depsite the Carrier Dome only holding 50K for football.

I realize Syracuse football isn't Michigan football, but I thought I'd share what another school does.
