Where can I buy a (legit) 2011 UTL jersey?

Submitted by Talpostal on

I'm looking to buy a legit jersey from the first UTL back in 2011. There are some expensive ones on ebay and plenty of shady knockoffs, but I'm really just trying to find a online store or store in the metro area that would be selling a real one. I haven't had any luck online so far--any leads? Thanks in advance.

I had one that was worn by a player in the game but that cost sick money. There is a guy on ebay who bought a blank one from the AD and had Denard's #16 sewn on to it. Technically, that would mean it is not authentic but he did a damn nice job. That is probably the closest you'd be able to get to the real thing for under $200. Are you aware that those jerseys are made from tech-fit material? They look tiny but are made to stretch to fit your body. That means it will be skin tight. If that doesn't bother you, go for it. All of the replicas suck, in my opinion. They would be a lot more comfortable to wear but I just don't like anything but the team issued jerseys.

China, bruh. They are stitched numbers and letters with names on back. I have purchased jerseys twice from there and never had a problem. They are around $20, too. Just Google "china wholesale jerseys." Or, you can spend four times as much to a company in the USA with no name on back...

I have a normal Denard Robinson (name on back) and a Pavel Datsyuk Winter Classic sweater. I assure you that they are legit. I was hesitant, too, but they are all just fine. They're the same thing you can buy here at a fraction of the cost. Jerseys in this country are so overpriced and I don't see why anyone is willing to front that kind of money for something like that, especially when you can get one a lot cheaper from China.

They aren't available as they are no longer being made, and haven't been for quite some time - your only choice for an authentic jersey is eBay. All the other answers in this thread are inaccurate. Whatever you get from China at this point is certainly not up to the design that the original authentic jersey was.

You may just need to shop around - if someone isn't trying to offload one on, say, eBay or some such site, if you live in Metro Detroit, you can try out places like The Old Ball Park in Commerce Township or Play Ball Sports in Westland. There are other shops like that around the area, and sometimes they manage to have things like that (usually because it was sold to them, so expect a markup), but there are definitely places to try.

I have one that I bought at MDen the night before the game. I wore it to GameDay the next morning and then to the game that night.

After the game at the tailgates we saw Brady Hoke. He signed it.

So there's that.........

Those jerseys, I'm sure you can find on the internet.

It's been a long time, so MDen does not have them. My best advice is to check ebay often. That is a popular jersey and I'm sure it will pop up. Unlike the basketball Bleed Out shorts that were limited edition and I'm on a scavenger hunt for seemingly until the end of time.

There is still a gigapixel shot of everyone in the staduim where you can see me and my buddy with arms crossed, very serious. He's a ND fan... That was a crazy game and we stole it right from under them. ND's defensive backs were so horrible in that game. Kinda reminded me of playing "500" when I was a kid... Fond memories, but I'm looking forward to a pro-style offense run by better teachers in the near future

That's what I have been saying on this site for a while but people are so hesitant to buy from those sites, understanably so, though. There are many people on here who have purchased from one of those sites and didn't get ripped off. I think here is the best place to hear others' experiences with the sites and seemingly no one has had a problem. I have made two separate purchases from those sites and not once did I have a problem. The shipping is a lot, but some of those companies offer free shipping when you get to a certain dollar amount, so my suggestion is to see if you know some people who all want to go in on an order to eliminate the shipping cost. One person buys them and the others just reimburse. I did that twice.

Do you have a picture of your jersey? I've bought soccer jerseys in the past from these sites and I appreciate those, but feel like a high quality football jersey is much much much harder to pull off. From looking at the pictures a lot of those places supply, it looks like a lot of details are off like the M is way too big or way too small, or the adidas logo isn't there, or the jersey fabric looks really off.
