Duncan Robinson Is Making History

If this isn't worthy of a separate post, mods feel free to delete. I realize that there is a "Duncan Robinson and the Miami Heat on to the NBA Finals" post already, but thought this was interesting enough to be called out separately, rather than buried in that one.

On Wednesday, Duncan Robinson will become the first player in history to play in a Division-III national title game, Division-I national title game and an NBA Finals game.

Pretty incredible and unique trajectory for a player.

Just wait until he becomes NBA commissioner, president of the United States and the first emperor of the intergalactic space empire of space.  The future is bright, I tell ya.

John Beilein did a lot of wonderful things here as coach, but bringing in Duncan Robinson has to be one of the most amazing moves.  You don't know whether it was just brilliant insight, dumb luck, or both.  Certainly though decisions like that and the Austin Hatch one made me proud of the program and school while he was here.

Mark Titus (formerly of The Ringer) posted on social media that three years ago he received a message from Duncan asking if he could interview Titus for a class about getting into the media profession after college because he felt like his basketball career would be winding down.  Now he's starting in the NBA Finals against Lebron and the Lakers.
