I would bet that it's looking a lot like Dave Brandon's freakout over Shane Morris' concussion, over there.  Brandon's crony army of idiots worked through the night picking apart literally every word of their announcement, which wound up being transparently cynical and hilariously unprofessional anyway.

As in, ChatGPTitti knows he f'ed up, but is too much of a narcissistic coward to publicly admit to error.  But it's likely the letter Michigan sent had its desired effect, basically everyone in the office screaming that they will get a bomb dropped on their heads if he does something.  So he's stuck in a hole he dug for himself, slowly melting into a puddle.

If the ban happened tomorrow and "they" asked JH to leave the field, it would not shock me if the team left with him.

In life they are few things better than telling people to fuck off. 

The B1G legal position weakens by the day. Evidence is now pouring in regarding collusion among other teams that effectively constitutes advance scouting. It sounds like evidence is emerging that other teams have pulled  a Stalions.

So now Petitti realizes he's been played and will be highly embarrassed when it becomes clear in court the extent of his cluelessness and of the selective enforcement of the rules. He must be talking to his lawyers non-stop. This is why what was supposed to happen on Monday still hasn't happened on Friday.

Ideal solution IMO are fines. $1million to Michigan for Stalions and also $1 million to OSU, Rutgers and Purdue for advance scouting and collusion. The penalties to the other three schools is a message that Petitti is not getting played or embarrassed anymore.

If they announce a ban effective immediately today, I’d bet there is a TRO that suspends the ban issued tonight.  You cannot tell a team hours before a key game that their coach is suspended.

The officiating tomorrow is going to be some of the most atrocious we've ever seen. And we've seen some pretty atrocious officiating.

I hope Michigan is prepared to go to court over that too.

That is exactly what is going on.  Wait until 4:59 so that Michigan won't be able to file for a TRO.

I would be interested to hear from a lawyer on this but wouldn't a TRO be more likely to be approved if the Big Ten tries to stick this suspension so close to the PSU game?

Do business hours matter when filing a TRO?

I imagine there are people sitting outside courtrooms / clerks offices waiting and ready to file whatever they need to to oppose this.

It'll be interesting to see if it takes 1 guy less than 9 months to undue what has been arguably the most powerful conference in collegiate athletics.

I’m still on the other side of this but it wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong today.  I think Petitti is looking for the easiest off ramp.  The later it drops the less air time it receives because of live game action on tv.  He needs to show he’s doing something to appease the mob when he’s really not doing anything.  Stay tuned
