Don't like that legality part...

I would bet that it's looking a lot like Dave Brandon's freakout over Shane Morris' concussion, over there.  Brandon's crony army of idiots worked through the night picking apart literally every word of their announcement, which wound up being transparently cynical and hilariously unprofessional anyway.

As in, ChatGPTitti knows he f'ed up, but is too much of a narcissistic coward to publicly admit to error.  But it's likely the letter Michigan sent had its desired effect, basically everyone in the office screaming that they will get a bomb dropped on their heads if he does something.  So he's stuck in a hole he dug for himself, slowly melting into a puddle.

It's not legal, so who cares what they say.  If they ban him tomorrow I say don't acknowledge the authority, fuck em and show up anyway and let's see if they force him off field. Just imagine how fired up the team would be.

The B1G legal position weakens by the day. Evidence is now pouring in regarding collusion among other teams that effectively constitutes advance scouting. It sounds like evidence is emerging that other teams have pulled  a Stalions.

So now Petitti realizes he's been played and will be highly embarrassed when it becomes clear in court the extent of his cluelessness and of the selective enforcement of the rules. He must be talking to his lawyers non-stop. This is why what was supposed to happen on Monday still hasn't happened on Friday.

Ideal solution IMO are fines. $1million to Michigan for Stalions and also $1 million to OSU, Rutgers and Purdue for advance scouting and collusion. The penalties to the other three schools is a message that Petitti is not getting played or embarrassed anymore.

A man can hope, right?

If it is that complicated then why force a decision today.

They are probably trying to screw around and wait until the last possible second to make it harder to get the injunction.

Super bush league if that turns out to be true.

While the courts may not be open  for business today because of the holiday, there is always a judge available for critical items that occur.

I would bet that whoever is handling the legal work, the DC firm and/or others, have already made arrangements with a court/judge should a TRO be required.

The later this goes, the worse it will look for the B1G should some strong edict be handed down by the Conference.

You can get an emergency TRO but it's a pain in the ass.  Waiting until 5pm CT worries me.  It's the oldest litigation trick in the book and would be completely insane in this context to screw your golden goose to that extent.

I wonder where we file our TRO if the Big Ten does suspend Harbaugh.  If, for whatever reason, they do it in ND-IL the emergency judge is Sara Ellis who is very highly regarded.

I’m still on the other side of this but it wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong today.  I think Petitti is looking for the easiest off ramp.  The later it drops the less air time it receives because of live game action on tv.  He needs to show he’s doing something to appease the mob when he’s really not doing anything.  Stay tuned

I’m torn on what this means and honestly have no read. This thing has been so mishandled I think trying to figure out their intentions is not likely. It could be this to bury it in Friday afternoon news dump (as best as it could be buried) or it could be just lining things up to suspend or delaying it as long as possible out of spite and anger at UM’s response.
