Check out its tail, that was a racoon.
here's one vote for "John Beilein's head in a Futurama jar"
Check out its tail, that was a racoon.
It's Kevin Rose (the founder of Digg) defending his dog.
I know the vast majority of Michigan beat writers and no one else has this news. No offense to the blogger, but I've never heard of him and will wait to get confirmation from respectable (known) sources before I think about this.
but something as minor as 2 weeks isn't worth bragging over. probably twisted ankle
This isn't the 20th century anymore. With social media, I think most Michigan related injuries have been reported first from students on campus which eventually filtered back to the the beat writers who disseminated it to the general public.
Beat writers breaking stories = Joe Schad reporting on ESPN. Don't get me wrong, I think the beat writers offer great inside looks into the program and players, but injuries and other breaking news usually comes from the students.
Are you Jeff Weintraub?
My sources tell me I am not.
Fair point, but beat writers have way more connections within programs than most and are paid to be on top of the beat 24-7. I'm not believing anything until I see it from multiple trusted sources.
And the Schad comparison is a bit of a stretch. Few know more about what is going on inside Fort Schembechler than the beat writers. I assume that when you say students, you mean GA's or people on the inside. I don't think the engineering department knows more about the football team than U-M beat writers.
Beat writers may have insiders, but students go to class and live with these players, student managers, and other student athletic dept staff. Most of the injury information that has come out in recent years has been coming from the students on campus. Insiders also may be hesitant to reveal injury information--Michigan and Hoke have been very reluctant to let injury infomation out.
Not seeing anyone else with the info - not saying he is wrong but let's wait for confirmation.
I hate you
If one of our players got hurt, I think more people would know about it. Right now it's just one guy claiming an unnamed source.
Everyone needs to take a mental break... This kid is a true freshman (yes very talented) but there is a ton to learn in the passing game before a true freshman is really ready to be an every down back. With Fitz, Drake Johnson, Hayes, and Rawls I see NO REASON to rush him onto the field. Get him healthy and then see if he could be an upgrade.
Hi Mrs. Johnson.
Why lol Drake Johnson? There have been a number of good reports about him.
I Lol'd at Rawls. I feel bad for doing so.
Drake Johnson will get some carries.
If he's not an upgrade over everyone not named Fitz on that list then that's a pretty big problem.
...but that said, having a ton to learn is exactly why this is unfortunate news.
Well, that's a bummer. At least it's nothing serious.
That's a real bummer, man. Mind if I do a j?
That and a pair of testicles
Guess Fitz knew something we didn't.
You're saying Fitz hit him with a putter? :O
Part of having physical practices are occasional injuries. He'll be back in time to get a few hits before CMU
Yeah, this isn't great, but it's not the end of the world either. He was going to get many carries against CMU anyway, but now he'll have a week to practice before that game, get some carries that don't mean a ton, and have another week to practice before ND. Not ideal, but not the end of the world either.
What's that supposed to mean???
@MGoShoe I'm not gonna reveal my source, but it's the same person that told me Jake Ryan tore his ACL before it was announced
Bad choice of words.
What have we done to deserve this?
Well awesome. Not a good omen for the season.
I love when people say they won't reveal their source. This is a sprained ankle, not a threat to national fucking secuity.
If he reveals his source next time they won't give him any info... We are talking about Fort Schembechler.
manager, coaches might want this in house and kept quiet. good way to get booted being a "source"
Fitz is some kinda fortune teller
A better question might be who is the poor soul who tried tackling him and is now out for the season?
That is a terrible question.
Bummer and bad timing on the running back question with This Weeks Obsession.
After Monday and Tuesaday even the calender says W T F
Although that is a pretty witty saying, mine actually says W Th F. Though that still works.
I mean, was Green really going to pick up all the pass protections and blocking schemes by the first game? It's all good, get well soon derrick!
This is being "reported" while our beat writer for Detroit news is still tweeting about food.
the human body is very tough - I once saw a movie where a guy with a gunshot wound hit a homerun.....that is how tough the human body is
Wait..... Is Green retiring?
